I have two different routines, mornings and evenings plus an exfoliation night and two off nights that’s just repairing and barrier products. Don’t worry I know I’m excessive lol.

And the COSRX snail cream (in the tub) is still a must in my skin care routine. 2+ years. And a recent cream I’ve been loving is Village Factory derma clear B5 cica cream. My 47 dry sensitive skin really likes it. 🥰

Yep, I feel like for those of us who love the cosrx snail options, it’s not a brief love - they become must haves!!
@masonjeq42612 жыл бұрын
I don't have acne issues, basically just mild dryness (skin is normal to dry), but I find the Stratia and snail essences to be must haves in my routine. You can't really beat the effects for the price, though they're very basic in what they each do, which is just make your skin feel healthier and reduce recovery time whenever there is a small issue. If you buy stuff from Style Korean or Stylevana I'd just consider buying the snail essence full size. Its often $9.99 or less on those sites while Ulta sells bottles for $25 and samples aren't that much cheaper. This only works if you make substantial purchases though for free shipping. Alternatively Ulta often offers this in their half off sales.
@AliceintheRabbitHole2 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah for sure - the best way to go is to catch the 50% and free shipping 21 Days deals for anyone who wants to give snail mucin a first try. Although now the catch is…those sell out. I heard the snail essence was gone within an hour! 👀 You described those perfectly too - they are incredible for helping skin speed along in recovery. Must haves for my tricky skin!

That was hard lol. And I'm shocked that I don't have a more heavy duty moisturizer in my own list but I would have to say Ghost Democracy Cocoon if I were to add that. For my top 10 I'm limiting myself to products I've purchased and ignoring products I wish I could afford (Dry Sensitive Skin with Occasional but stubborn acne). In order, more or less, though the top 3 are tied. This was hard and I feel like a few might be different depending on the day you ask me... 1. Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence 2. Stratia Liquid Gold 3. Tretinoin 4. NIOD Survival 0 5. Benton Fermentation Eye Cream (everytime I let myself run out or switch I regret it. Though I do want to try the Pyunkang Yul and Medicube. I'm currently out and this may be affecting its place lol) 6. Torn between the Isntree Watery Sun Gel and and the Canmake Mermaid Gel Sunscreen (still need to try BOJ) 7. Neogen Real Ferment Micro Essence (Currently Testing the IOPE to see if this will be dethroned as my fave FTE) 8. Sioris Deep in a Barrier Cream 9. Geek & Gorgeous Vitamin C 10. Holy Snails Spooky Shark Sauce (I also love the Bamboo, Hangbang, and Honey Versions)

Such a great list!! I feel this really confirms our similarities in preference too haha. Leaving out eye cream was painful for me, but I figured I could go without eye cream if I ever needed to - the catch is, why do that when products like the Benton are so affordable? I will haul the neogen next week (already has arrived - the bottle is more lux than I thought it would be!? 😍) I’m approaching it with the opposite question - how does it compare to the IOPE 🤣

Costco has an 11 ounce bottle of the SK II for $200. Still feels like an outrageous amount of money, but more than half off the standard price. I've had the tab open in my browser for a while but haven't bit the bullet yet.

Sephora does do some samples of it - if you can catch one of those promos, it might be the way to go for testing it? That said, in my review I did, I didn’t think it was doing ANYTHING for almost a month. Then my skin dramatically -VERY dramatically- started showing improvement. The stubborn hyperpigmentation i’d had for ages just started to melt away? I see the hype and I’m mad about it LOLLL

I'm really having a blast watching your new videos everyday in the morning with my tea ☕ ❤️ A small question. What's the best and the strongest fermented skincare you have used other than the sk 2 ? I've tried Benton fermented snail serum, cosrx 95% and quite a few. I feel like my skin absolutely loves it. I need something that has a much more punch to it.

Hmmmm I don’t know how to answer “strongest”. I can say “most visible results”, which would actually bring back the fresh kombucha for me! That said!! Things that i've been mostly using forever for my dry skin. 1. Laneige Cream Skin Toner 2. Laneige Cream Skin Milk/Oil Cleanser 3. Amore Pacific Vintage Essence 4. Ordinary Marula Oil 5. (New this year) The Outset Collagen Serum 6. DE LaLa Retro Moisturizer Honorable Mentions: Would have said the laneige water bank, but i don't like the reformulation. Also i really loved the tatcha dewy skin cream, but it causes a really bad rash on my neck and it's hard to not bring the moisturizer down my neck. I suspect it's the camelia flower. I'm going to check out that Eadem moisturizer, cause i will need a new one when the water bank stockpile runs out. Eeeh so many good options!! Do you use the 92 alongside tret? Before I ran out, I was using it with my adapalene. I was kind of meh on it until I started pairing it with a retinoid (tbh would repurchase now). Which makes me suspect that favorites lists might often work in terms of pairs (or even groups?) of products!
@rebeccadarling58942 жыл бұрын
@@AliceintheRabbitHole yes to pairing products! The downside of having a minimalist but VERY potent skincare routine. I wouldn’t have loved the 96 except that it enabled me to increase my tret percentage… for me it’s “skin serotonin” in that it doesn’t make me happy but it can prevent me from being terribly unhappy if that makes sense? The 92 also makes my skin happy, as long as I use it as an essence/humectant/healing and not as a moisturizer. Tret impacts all of my skincare choices, sigh.

I almost resold my big bottle of Liquid Gold when I first got it. I liked it, but didn’t find it occlusive enough for my dry, flaky skin (I use Tret). I couldn’t justify the high price for what it did. Didn’t hate it. It was just kind of “meh.” So I ended up tucking it away in my cabinet. I recently started using it again just to use it up, and WOW, my skin actually loves it. My skin still flakes if I overdo Tret, but I’m a believer that this actually repairs my barrier. :)

What's weird is that adapalene has always been far less irritating to my skin than any other retinoids I've tried. I can literally slather that on wet skin with ZERO problems, but I could never do that with any other retinoids I'd tried! I don't know if I missed it, but could you do a video on cult favourites? I'm just getting more heavily into skincare products, and there are some that just keep coming up on every forum - the SKII, skinceuticals c e ferulic, biologique recherche p50 1970/not 1970, things like that. I would love to get my hands on the stratia liquid gold, but I can't get it here 😢 I finally got that bug that's been going round, and now I don't know if I contaminated my skincare as I didn't have any symptoms. Do you know if it's a thing, I've been googling but I can't get a proper answer. 😷✌

Yeah, I do feel you there. I’ve tapered AHA usage to a bare minimum myself. Hoping that I can reincorporate whenever my skin adjusts (my sad little peace out AHA serum is going…”when will you try me? 🥺” lol!) Hmm. That’s a good question tbh. Are you using products with pumps or jars? With pumps, i’d just wipe down with some isopropyl alcohol. Jars…not sure. Actually let me know if you do get a better answer! And hope you feel better quickly 💕

@@AliceintheRabbitHole mostly pumps, and spatulas for the jars. Yeh I do miss my acids, but when your skin tells you too much, you have to listen to it. 🌻
