Thanks and good luck with everything. These were the best keyboards out of the ones that were sent to me. I don't do the full reviews but just like to show people what's out there and what my initial impressions are. Thanks again.

It’s a bit pricey but the MX series by Logitech is very worth it. They make a Mac version and it’s the best non Apple keyboard I’ve used
@craigneidel Жыл бұрын
Those are nice also for sure. These are just based on the models I have been sent and what I think works well and feels like the original Mac keyboards.
@craigneidel Жыл бұрын
Yes, the better keyboards are all going to be around $75 to $100 but you can get some budget ones for around $50 that can pass for most people.

Logitech is my fav. It works great with apple and sync, does not take up a port, keys light up and its soft touch. Mouse is great and you can use it when plugged in...

Hi. Great overview. Can these all be used as wired keyboards as well or is the USB only for charging? Thx.

This was a bit ago but I would follow the links to the amazon pages to see the exact specs of each keyboard. I don't want to tell you something wrong. Thanks for watching. The links should be in the description.

Hi Craig. This is timely. Will these keyboards work with the Mac studio?
@craigneidel Жыл бұрын
They all should as long as you have bluetooth.
@infinity-hu4yk4 ай бұрын
in my experiance if you like magic keyboard that's because the the key travell is less and that's why it feels more precise to type on So you should look into those type of keyboard. MX series has more travel and satachi one sometimes feels like a memberane keyboard because of more travel and mushy feel. But there are similar in price so i am going back to my magic keybaord again.

@AlJey0079 ай бұрын
I honestly don't even care about the price. I would just like for some company (not Logitech) to make a reeeeeeeally high-end version of the MX Keys Mini, but without all the issues, bugs, unreliability, poor longevity, anti-consumer practices and terrible customer support that we usually get from Logitech.
@craigneidel9 ай бұрын
Satechi has been pretty good but I also have not had issues with Logitech so I guess it depends on the user experience.

@@craigneidel Satechi actually does look interesting. I am planning to try in out. The only thing I'm not sure about is the fact that it has completely flat keys.

check out my channel and a video I did a few weeks ago on a Satechi mechanical keyboard. That keyboard is great and not flat at all - mechanical actually but slim. @@AlJey007

@@craigneidel 😊see that's the thing, I don't want a mechanical keyboard, and I like the fact that it is very thin, I would just prefer for the keys to be slightly concave

Yeah, that one is nice though but the others do have low travel keys for sure.

I have a question for you.... Is there a keyboard that feels like an Apple but works on a pc, plug & play? I have an old 2008 Mac Book which has a keyboard I love, but it's obsolete, and I made the mistake of buying a desktop PC windows 10 machine. The keyboard it came with sucks. Any suggestions?
@craigneidel3 ай бұрын
I think the satechi works nice and is like a Mac.
@seeharvester3 ай бұрын
@@craigneidel Yes, but will it connect without jumping through hoops? I know nothing about computers and don't want to change anything except the keyboard, if that makes sense.

Hey Craig, thanks for your keyboard review. I'm in the market for a replacement of my imac keyboard that doesn't have the feel of an apple keyboard. Low profile keys have always been a sore spot with me. Have you come across any keyboards that have a different feel from the Apple keyboard?
@craigneidel Жыл бұрын
I'll think about it and see what I can come up with. I have not really reviewed a ton that are not like the MacBook keyboards. The Satechi are nice for sure but might be too close to the Mac keyboards if you don't like those. If I come across anything I'll let you know for sure.

check out my channel for my review of the Satechi mechanical keyboard. It's a great option also and more like a traditional keyboard for sure.

Thanks for the reviews Craig. I'm currently using the standard Apple keyboard (without the numpad or the fingerprint sensor). It's a good keyboard, but I regret not getting the full-sized version with the numpad, which I prefer to use over the number keys. Penny wise and pound foolish. I was surprised to see that both of the ProtoArc keyboards use scissor switches. I was expecting keyboards that affordable would use membrane switches.
@craigneidel Жыл бұрын
Yes, the ProtoArc are not bad for the money and feel pretty good. They are not as good as the others but very close and half the cost. I myself don't use the Numeric pad too much but it's nice to have one just in case. Thanks for the post.
@transitengineer Жыл бұрын
Like yourself, I too prefer to use a keyboard with a full size number pad. So, whenever someone that, I know is planing to order a new 24-inch iMac always suggest they get the color matching full size keyboard with number pad (smile...smile).
@craigneidel Жыл бұрын
Yes, some people do use the number pad and others never will. I guess it also depends on the size of the desk they have and they space they have to work with.

Sad that Satechi only produces their european keyboards in space grey and not in silver. As Apples magic mouse is only available in black/silver this keyboard just doesnt match.
