To me ant man and the wasp is the equivalent to a filler TV episode. It’s a safe bet for marvel, they get a few jokes, a good cast, and a director that will listen to whatever they want. The film could have been this cool sleek superhero spy film, or like a buddy cop movie, or literally anything. But it was just filler to the next great MCU film. Just disappointing all around. Not on my personal worst list but my most dissapointing film of 2018, more than solo.

I don't see the disappointment surrounding Ant-Man & The Wasp. Despite not generally being a fan of the almost-slapstick overly-awkward humour that populated the first Ant-Man, I thought it was done extremely well in the sequel and was one of the funniest MCU films. Plus it had the most character and charm of any MCU film thus far, bar maybe Ragnarok. I thought the plot was weak and it felt fairly aimless, but still one of the better films in the franchise.

Death of Stalin had a fantastic dub in Russian (with every voice actor doing amazing job with character mannerism and different USSR regional accents - Georgian, Armenian, Moscow... I do feel like the original English voices were supposed to represent what a melting pot of accents the top Soviet officials we're at the time, in a way that a general international movie-goer would understand as "these people are all from very different places and backgrounds even though they technically speak the same language"). That dub was so good, I didn't get nearly as powerful a kick out of it on a repeat watch in English.Too bad it was banned from screening in Russia :( Not even an official Russian Blu Ray version to get it at home again.
