The reason why Grisha looks like hes seeing Eren and Zeke is because he is literally seeing them. The power of the Attack Titan is sending memories to its past and future users, so Eren is sending his "memory" of the event to Grisha as the event is happening. So if Eren is standing close to Grisha and looking the same way he is, Grisha is basically seeing the same thing as Eren through the memories, so hes seeing Zeke through Erens eyes. And when Eren was talking to Grisha he was sending his "memory" of the event to Grisha as the event was happening. The users cant choose what future they see, only the users of the future can pick which memories and events they send back to its past users.

Griesha is viewing Eren's memories, so he's seeing them from Eren's eyes. He sees himself kneeling not wanting to kill the kids, and he hears Eren talking from Eren's memories. He's not actually seeing Eren or Zeke, but he's seeing Eren's memories and his mind is able to put together approximately where they are and what they're saying.

Although Grisha told Zeke to stop Eren, he gave the attack titan to Eren later that same night. If Grisha truly wanted to stop Eren all he had to do was not give the titan to Eren. The reason he gave the titan to Eren is because he found out that the walls had been breached and his wife had died when he met up with little Eren. And he then chose to go along with Eren’s plan to get revenge on Marley for killing his wife. That’s why in the earlier seasons when he transformed Eren into a titan. He kept telling Eren to avenge Carla, avenge his mom.

The Attack Titan power is a bit confusing, I'll explain without spoilers. The Attack Titan has the power to send memories to past inheritors. That means at any point in time, the "current" Attack Titan can see memories that a future Attack Titan has sent them. This does present some crazy timeline paradoxes. In this episode, Greisha cannot directly see Eren at all. But, Griesha hears Eren and sees Zeke because he is receiving memories from Eren as all of this is happening. Eren isn't directly interacting with the past through this memory Zeke is walking them through, he can't physically change things in a memory. Eren is instead changing things by sending these memories to Griesha while it's happening, which creates the past we know. What's also interesting is what Griesha said near the end. He can only see what Eren chooses to show him, Griesha doesn't know the entire future.

I'm still not 100% sure if that is the Attack Titan's ability or the Founding Titan's ability (with Royal blood). The founding Titan supersedes the concept of time, so I'm pretty sure that is how he is able to send his memories to Grisha, Kruger, etc... That is why the Reiss family is confused/concerned when Grisha tells them about this power. Because they know that it isn't the Attack Titan's ability, which would mean that Grisha does kill them, steal the power, and manages to activate it (Eren activates it through Zeke). Grisha telling them this basically means (to them) that they already lost. Also, I think the Reiss family knows everything there is to know about the Titans (having inherited the founder & every founder's memories), so I'd find it hard to believe if they actually just didn't know about the Attack Titan's ability. I think Grisha saying that is just him trying to make sense of how it's possible.

The easiest way to think about it at first is that Eren’s eyes are basically like a camera. Everything he experiences becomes a memory. He can then show those memories to previous attack titan holders. So grisha never actually sees eren. He sees himself from erens perspective. He sees erens memory of eren telling grisha what to do. Grisha can also only see Zeke when eren is looking at Zeke. When he sees Zeke, it’s actually just him seeing erens memory of Zeke at that moment. Eren is basically sending any of his memories that he wants to send, to any previous attack titan, in order to get to this moment where he gets the founding titan. He’s almost the “grand mastermind” behind the whole story.

I know this plot is so confusing, we manga readers had tons of time to analyze it and talk to other people so it got cleared to us. But you misunderstood that Eren "CAN'T" change the future because, in this world they live they are in "Predetermined". If you watched Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban, and the underrated film called "Predestination", it's basically like this. it's a Time Paradox, all events you know since episode one was already determined, it's like a cycle. the future will shape the past that will lead to future which that future will going to repeat doing it again. The angle is low enough so that you can't see Grisha is looking at phantom Eren but, from his body position - if he's looking straight ahead, he's not looking at young Eren. 14:11 I think this is an example of Eren lying (sending false memories) back to Grisha. The attack titan doesn't take memories from future attack titans. future attack titans send memories *back* to older ones. And the future titan*chooses* which memories. Eren doesn't want Grisha to know that - he might realized that Eren is being too selective about what memories he sends back. So he sent him a memory that said previous attack titans take future titan memories. For example, Eren sent Grisha a memory of the attack on Shiganshima but he *didn't* send him a memory of Carla being killed or of young Eren and Mikasa escaping. That way, Grisha thinks he has a chance to save Carla - but she was already dead. If the power worked the way Grisha said it worked, then he would know Carla was dead because seeing her die was one of Eren's memories. 18:24 And Here We Go. the biggest shock scene of the entire series!

Without the last royal member surviving imprisoning Eren, he would have never gotten his armour hardening ability. Since you already saw the next episode i can explain without spoiling. To explain the power of the Attack Titan, it can't be activated at will by everyone who posess it. It can only be activated by going into the Paths. Meaning that it works the same way as the Founding titan. Eren needs someone of royal blood to access the Paths ( this dimension trenscending time and space.) Its power is not described well. The right way to decribe it is like that : The Attack Titan can send memories to past inheritors. That's why the pasts Attack Titan can receive the memories of future inheritors. That's why Grisha was talking to Eren. " Why don't you show my what will happen when the wall will be breached ? Why don't you show my what happen to Carla ? Etc ..." Eren sent his memories to past Attack Titan, influencing the past. But this also means that every past Attack Titan were influenced by Eren, even the oldest from 2000 years ago... And that is also why the Attack Titan's goal is freedom. Eren wrote the entire History of the Attack Titan, he created the personnality of this titan and this is his will that command everyone of them in the past. With that, we can even guess that Kruger was influenced by Eren himself, as Grisha and every others Attack Titan. Since Eren is the only one that was able to enter the Paths with the Attack Titan, he is the only one able to use its power. And that's why every memories from the future are coming from Eren traveling into his dad's memories. This entire episode when Eren and Zeke traveled into Grisha's memories, Eren sent all of his memories in the same time. Basically, every Attack Titan saw what Eren decided to show, when he is in the Paths, including his memories of when he is traveling into his dad's memories. Yes, it's very complex. Then to understand why Grisha was watching Eren and Zeke, you have to understand that every memories that Eren sent are from his point of view. It means that Grisha was seing everything from Eren's point of view. ( By the way, memories includes feelings, talking, sensations etc ...) Basically, Grisha felt Eren's feelings through the memories, and saw himself and Zeke from Eren's point of view. That's why Grisha moved when he was touched by Eren... He was reacting to the memories he had of Eren at the same moment. That's the same thing for Zeke. Grisha was reacting and adapting his body because he saw Zeke and himself from Eren's point of view, watching them. In the next episode, we learned that Eren accessed his own futur memories through his dad's memories, when he touched Historia's hand. One, remember Eren need royal blood to activate the power of the Attack Titan. But Historia was not a titan so he was not able to access the Paths. But he accessed past memories from his dad. And in his past dad's memories, there were the memories he will sent to his dad in the future. Basically, Eren already saw himself influencing Grisha and sending his memories into the past, since he touched Historia's hand. (That's the moment when Eren trully changed...) But it also means that Eren in the Paths influenced himself in the past. When he was sending past memories, he was manipulating Grisha and himself too... That's the craziest thing. Eren created himself. Without him influencing Grisha, he would have never obtained the Attack Titan and would have never been able to go to the Path and influence Grisha. It's a time loop, when future depends from the past. Conclusion to all this : everything that happened and will happen was already determined by the will of Eren in the future, even his own will. It's a paradoxe, a time loop, an eternal time cycle repeating itself, without begenning nor ending.

Since Attack titan can see into the future (Eren and Grish can) and Founder that Eren has can change Eldians, even their memories so basically Eren is the only person that can do what he did. Grisha, the Attack Titan, is in the past (say Year=2014). So, Grisha has the power to see memories of Eren (who is a future inheritor of Attack Titan)... So, in this episode, it's revealed that Grisha in 2014, is seeing & hearing Eren's memories from 2024 The reason Grisha can hear the memories in real-time is because Eren & Zeke are in the Paths. In the Paths, time is instant & infinite.

Zeke and Eren are in the paths at this instant and the paths links all eldians past, present and future At this moment Zeke and Eren are in the present but viewing the past, but because Eren is the one experiencing it now, Grisha who had the attack titan could see what Eren is experiencing (because Eren is the successor) So simply put Grisha sees what Eren sees. And Eren can only "interact with grisha"

LOGICALLY MASTERPIECE Excuse my English 1-They watch the memories like a tv so eren and zeke never been physically on the memories , no one can see them never 2-The past never changed ( no past time manipulation in the story) Also the future ( the glimpse they saw it will happened) 3- why grisha only see zeke ? Cuz of the power of Attack titan He is seeing eren future memories , So every time he see zeke, eren was standing behind grisha all the time , so Its just like seeing POV eren ( cuz it’s his memories so it’s like seeing through eren eyes ) why he was shocked at the door ? Cuz grisha see himself like reflection (mirror image ) cuz he see the.memory through eren eyes he see himself ((( the memories come in glimpse/seconds not all time in once ))) Grisha was scared at first cuz he has glimps memories of grown zeke and himself at first but he realized that in the end , so he talked to zeke , but by the way if anyone come to that place he will see grisha talking and hugging the air ( cuz once again eren and zeke NOT physically there , just grisha saw through eren eyes this future memory) 4- grisha and Frieda fight this happened at the real time (eren was a kid, the wall desertoyed ,,etc) but how he contact his father? Eren from the future went to the past and caused it to happen which led to the present moment. The reason why he is able to interact is because grisha saw in his memories that eren and zeke are present in that scene watching him when he killed the family. And the reason why eren is able to do everything is because he is the last to be the attack Titan
