Best Arachne Dialogue (fight me) - Run#46 - Light Commentary | Hades 2 Early Access

We are back with high Fear runs! Picking back the Axe. Going for my favorite boon on the Axe that is Apollo. We're nearing the end of our testament runs, which means getting closer to possible 32 Fear runs! Not sure if I'm ready but am excited to be put in my place once and awhile.
Time of this post, I've played til Run 48.

Just a bit of a thought in regards to maintaining your dress: The dress will stay on as long as you have any kind of Armor. The best kinds of Armor generation and similar protection you can get come from Hephaestus, so be sure to start the run with the Adamant Shard, so you can guarantee his Boons, and gain access to Trusty Shield, Heavy Metal, and Mint Condition. Those three will improve your dress' survivability.

I agree with your tips Copy! I'll also add specific weapons might be best suited. Unless I ran a Special or Cast build with Axe, it was hard to get close to Cerberus without taking half hp, which would've been the end of any armor. Perhaps I should've went with Aspect of Charon ^ or I could just get good lmao.

3:00 I mean, all of Apollo's suitors that he would have had any inclination to marry ended up dead. There was Daphne, who Eros struck with a lead arrow to make her despise Apollo, after having his archery skills insulted by Apollo. She ended up praying to the gods to turn her into a tree to escape him. Then there was Hyacinthus who was loved by both Apollo and Zephyrus (the god of the west wind) who caused a discus (55:58 wow what a run to bring that up) to hit Hyacinthus in the head out of jealousy. 33:23 Yes, Apollo can give fire elements. Apollo's boons are all either fire or air (which makes sense since he's the god of the sun). 36:26 Ooh, Hestia's Legendary doubles the DpS of her Scorch damage 52:18 Aw, that was nice of Hestia to pay for your meal. 53:11 Not even undead, just straight up shades of the dead. 57:40 Oh, they fixed the instant death area not going away after you defeat him.

Me starting to feel little bad for Apollo. I figured he wouldn't have a problem finding someone, but I suppose it's tough with Eros and Hera around. What a coincidence with the discus call. Reminds me, we can have a look at the boon lists for you Digi. Could do me some good too. And right! It's funny the legendary pretty much solves the problem with Scorch! so the devs know, they know!! they just don't want it to be free lmao. We'll see if next balance change would address this specific aspect to Scorch. However, after reading a comment emphasizing the need for 2 curses for Origination. My guess why Scorch is so slow is to keep the curse long enough for Origination to apply. Combos essentially. When I play again, maybe we could use Scorch as a low-effort means to apply the 2 curses bonus effect. Hestia best auntie making sure Meli's fed well!

Selene gives more path of stars points based on the phase of the moon (you can see when you choose your hex the phases), the full moon gives a +2 bonus to any path of stars you grab. If you hover over the hex in the explanations it’ll let you know about the phases and their effects

Mmm! Thanks John. I noticed the hex phases changing in the hud, and figured they're manipulated in some ways to prep for a Hex run. But wow, it's very niche and requires the cycle of the moon to appear just right. I'll keep that in mind if I want to do more Hex runs. Thanks again!

Arachne in a tiny uniform c: That's if we are getting a human Arachne or not! (my guess is not) I predict it'll be like the Beauty and Beast effect, where we actually preferred the Beast more than when he restored to his human form lmao. I love Arachne, I just think we'd have grown attached to her spider form. It's cute with her voice! I'm not sure! We've been getting some old dialogues of late ^ cough* I might've said my thoughts out loud regarding Moros.

7:01 To what extent Arachne gets a happy ending will most likely by influenced by the interpretation of her tale that Hades 2 goes with. After all, in some versions she wove the tapestry of Zeus making out to his wives out of nothing but sheer sadism and spite. Either A) He’s never been married in the Hades-verse and doesn’t think Hera would bless his union anyway or B) that one time he was left such a bad taste in his mouth he just refuse to try again, and Hera has a strict Catholic like “one marriage only forever” rule. I like the second one more because it adds to his ruinous track record of romance. And I like the thought that Artemis even while completely fed up with her family, would take vengeance for him after she learnt his wife was cheating. I know I would for my younger sis, even if I wouldn’t give her something like the time of day. 3:41 Don’t think so. Supergiant seems to be jumping through hoops so complicated it could warrant an olympic medal to try and make this as little incest-y as possible, which is an herculean task since this is, after all, greek mythology. I mean, Apollo was never married to Coronis (Asclepius's mother) in the myths. To my knowledge, Apollo never married in any of the myths about him, he had lovers, but never a spouse.

Dialogue I left off with Arachne way back was Meli offering whatever the Crossroads could provide for her service with the silk dresses. Arachne keeps that in mind, and that plot was put on hold. But seems she would be more involved in the Crossroads in the future! I'm buying your thinking. End to bedrolls! (not that Meli seems to sleep anymore? canonically she has to right?)

59:54. Even Nemesis and Moros try to talk with Eris, they don't know how to deal with their younger sister because Eris is still very annoying and spoiled. If Eris doesn't like her mother Nyx and older brother Thanatos, they would ignore her just like the other deities hate Eris.

Seems like no one has Eris figured out ^ her family knew her longest and still couldn't find common ground with her. I don't think the game will have Eris change or become better, but we will learn to understand her more. and that's more than her family ever tried.

@@Hamstir4 True! Eris and the other evil deities had to live inside Pandora's box because they were too evil. You can go Google, find Daemon Physiology, and then you can see all the minor deities. If they were GOOD deities, they would live on Mount Olympus. If they were EVIL deities, they would live inside Pandora's box.

No god can slay Chronos…but maybe a goddess can. I think someone in a comment in a previous video mentioned that Eris doesn’t seem to know that the Fates are captured. My theories are: 1. as universally disliked as she is, of course she’s the last to find out anything; or 2. everyone is deliberately keeping this information from her because they’re afraid of the havoc she’ll wreak if she finds out.

This is a goddess's job! Mmmmm!!! I like these, now I play devil's advocate because tradition. For 1) I figured Eris as quite the meddler, so she would find out, but probably get the details off and screw others around with it lmao. 2) Even if she didn't know about the Fates' capture. I figure Eris lives her life without a care anyways, and would just say "screw the Fates". I can't imagine anyone not fearing the Fates even a little, so surely Eris respects them to an extent. But hmm. But if your second theory is true, then uh oh. Our lips are sealed!

The fix to Dark Side has made it my favorite Hex, but Lunar Ray is a close second, followed by Moon water. I hate to say it, but I don't like the Twilight Curse? Idk, maybe it's just me and it's better now, but It's probably my least favorite, along side Phase Shift. Idk, maybe I'm weird, but those are my thoughts on Hexes. Wolf Howl is alright, if a bit underwhelming without the Path of Stars buffs, oh and Total Eclipse is hilarious! I love it! I don't think Apollo was hitting on Mel so much as just asking. Trying to find some common ground with his underworldly cousin. He has had too many suitors to count, and has had impulses similar to his father, thankfully not out of wedlock, but still not a good thing considering Zeus' tendency to find consent optional. Any son of Zeus is right to fear Hera. I am a Loyal Customer to Arachne's Garments, Dyes, and Fabrics! Hestia's legendary makes Scortch so Powerful holy shit! Yeah, a Hestia only run sounds NUTTY! I love the firey Aunt so go nuts! I agree with it! People's champion Mel for the Discuss Throw? Lol! Excited for the Next Judgement Run. And if you don't have it already, could you put Zagreus on the thumbnail for the Hades I run? I think that would be funny 😅 For Cerberus!

I'm not sure how to feel about the Hexes still. There's def some I like, but I feel I haven't truly tried all the Hex upgrades. I've checked before that there is indeed a Selene boon list, but it's very cumbersome to read lol. You'd need the Hex tree to better visualize what goes with what. That being said, if I were to try-hard, I still put Wolf-Howl as my best, but only to reposition. I agree it's damage is whatever so I use it as utility. and if that's the case, the low cost suits well for me. Moon Water I haven't tried after the nerfs, but I still think it's good. But very boring haha. Phase Shift is very fun, but it has lost it's point at the Chronos fight. (still the coolest effect in the game next to Moros pin!) Twilight Eclipse may be hard to time, but very satisfying. The permanent crater it leaves is mwuah! Tiwlight Curse? ya, it's probably the most gimmicky Hex. But I adored Orchestration as an upgrade, it absolutely makes clearing easier. But this does nothing towards boss fights. Lunar Ray is fun! Just scary to be stationary in such a fast pace game. That final upgrade I read where it shoots independently?! That sounds sugoi! Alas, didn't get it. Poor Apollo mang. Me too! I'll be there on the opening for Arachne's business! I would love a hestia only run too! Doable as long as we don't take the Vow that removes the 2 unpicked, think it'll be cool. Hestia needs to look good! LOL Zagreus on the thumbnail? I'll see what I can do. For my mother!

i kinda hate the new twilight curse because of how extremely short the morph is (??) which kinda undermines the entire concept to kill off enemies while being cursed.

@@daeity1 good point ^ it definitely forces you to kill them at that moment. I did notice it too during Orchestration, they unmorphed quite fast!

@@Hamstir4 i also found out that the dmg against guardians (morph deals around 250, which is underwhelming BUT with how constant you get the morph, it packed a PUNCH) wasn't an "official" part of when you find the path of stars ??? the one thing that really helps do dmg against annoying bosses. btw !! finally beat the 32 (underworld) with Eos !! used hestia atk with hera special. my magic got primed to 200 which left me w 70 magic.
