I’m also from Taiwan 🇹🇼! I just got overall 7.0 (L7.5, R8.0, W6.5, S6.0) last weekend, which have made exemption application for freshman English was approved. But I performed much worse than usual in the speaking test. I kept stuttering and my mind went blank during the process. After all, thanks for your vids. They did help me a lot. I followed all your advice for all parts. My listening section part 2 was full of trick questions 😂. And for the speaking section I think I repeated a few words more than I should have. I didn’t stutter I spoke confidently but at the end of the day it’s all up to the examiner. 😬 Hopefully I’ll get the score I wanted. Thank you for all of your hard-work! 😊

Hi Chris, I subscribed to your KZbin channel from June 21st, and your video helped me so much in preparing for the IELTS Academy test by myself. However, I am facing a big problem in writing and speaking now . Although, I do understand 70-80% English in listening and reading, and also I do understand how to write in what structure by watching your videos, but everytime I try to write and speak, I always write and talk a wrong grammar sentence, and have problems how to describe my feeling or facts in English. I am mocking newspapers and radio, but still I don't have confidence in writing and speaking English. Do you have any advice? If I book a VIP course, can I speak like the interviewers on this video? I personally think that the „learnt parts“ of the second one are too obvious and for sure, this must be treated as my personal anecdote, but based on my experience, I‘d rather struggle around instead of risking a not so smooth transition into a memorized story.
