Wanted to leave a small note of thanks for this review and recommendation. This display in 2021 is worth every penny! Just got it and its spectacular. As a reference monitor I have a second BenQ SW270C which is a newer model, but this is right up there. Out of the box the colours are brilliant and both match to perfection in srgb. Top notch. Thankyou!

This video just came up in my recommended 3 months after buying the 27" version. I'm just a hobby photographer, no professional, and i can confirm this monitor is fantastic. Lifting it out of the huge box it felt quality, the weight. And the colours are amazing, beautiful. The first image i opened from my lightroom catalogue blew me away, pin sharp. The one thing i found hard getting used to was the monitor software Display Pilot. Lots of options to customise settings to your preference but i found the factory presets perfect. Matched with a 10bit card you can't go wrong.

If you don't need 4k go for the BenQ PD2700Q (IPS Panel) or PD3200Q (VA Panel). Great monitors for the price and easier on older eyes. You lose the 4k and KVM, SD card reader oh and the USB ports are 2.0. But they are a bargain on new ( if you can find them ) market let alone used. I have 2 on my main rig and one at the studio. Also bought one for a friend who's DELL monitor had developed a fault.

This review helped me make a decision tonight. I’m a photographer that’s looking to step up to a color accurate monitor, I was hesitant about the flickering issue. But looking more into it that was on earlier models and the 2020+ models have the updated firmware that’s fixed the issue. I was torn between this or a Eizo ColorEdge CS2731. Hopefully I made the right decision.

This is great, thanks for the in-depth review! Having an even lower budget options would be fantastic. Especially one that I can shift into a different purpose down the line if I upgraded to one of the really good ones for coloring. Your reviews stand out with others I have watched for thoroughness. I do the same thing for HiFi and know how much work is involved in putting reviews together. So congratulations. 👏 I wondered if you might help me get the gear I need. Happy to pay you. I wondered basically if this monitor is still good. I use a rubbish Samsung tv monitor about ten years old. I use after effects / vegas (soon to change to premier pro) but I also need some help in choosing a new PC. I perceive big diminishing returns once you go past a certain point. Im using a ten year old i7 quad core with a really bad graphics card which is struggling.

@@theTechNotice Interesting. I am caught between the 27 and 32. Bit of a dilemma. 32 great but ppi too large and you have to sit so far away that scaling necessary. 27 too small for 4k, needs scaling! I think QHD is actually the best middle ground. Beginning to think 4k is a waste of time. Let alone 8K! It all feels like a - dare I say it - conspiracy to buy consumer goods that you don't actually need/offer any further utility. 2k is the sweet spot - bang for buck as it were. Agreed. This monitor was top pick in several reviews so after my research, I finally ordered one. There are so many things to love about it: the color is beautiful, the "hotkey puck" is really handy and there are multiple USB ports but it has a fatal flaw. After THREE years of selling this, it STILL has the flash-to-black problem so many have reported. At first it was just a couple of times a day where it goes black for a second or two and then comes back but today it has been doing it several times a minute then goes away then comes back again. I can't have it doing that all the time so I have to return it. A shame because otherwise it is amazing.
