You can do pretty much the same with bearing. Both of them needs controller to work but pistons are more resource-intensive.

@DAREZ HC you sure bout that? Multiple bearings set to change angles can do it. I put my water cannon on a bearing, place that on a long stack of wood, put a bearing on the end and connected it to another stack of wood. Put a bearing on that end, connect to a block and put a bearing to that block. Essentially that makes a crane arm that can water crops easily as long your dirt placement's good. Made a farm on an island so with vacuum pump and water canister it would run 24/7.

There are things called "pistons" Z Also if you shoot water upwards with the cannons instead of down, it covers an area of 3x3 or even 4x4

I state that it is a great idea, in fact I had thought it similar too ... From what I understand, crops can only be done on the ground, they cannot be put on buildings ... I also noticed that there are rock formations isolated and rather steep, enough not to be able to be climbed by robots, but with sufficient space to plant at least 10/15 (or even more) crops and to be able to build on a sort of base on stilts, finding one close to a source of water and checking if it can be grown above it would be good to evaluate the idea of placing a base on it, if everything works it would be practically unassailable!

You know what'd be a really cool feature? Being able to create your own Scrapbot companion, it'd be so much fun to build-up/raise/upgrade a small bot to adventure with. Imagine being able to pick up the totebot heads and Haybot limbs and combine them into new petbots. I imagine that you could make blueprints or something just incase your bot dies and you need to rebuild them quickly.

Hey Z I saw in your last video and in this one your having some issues with storage and you have begun to farm, it would be in your best interest to make at least one fridge. Now I know what your saying, hey man food doesn't go bad in the game there isn't a need for it and your right (for now, that may change like it did in ark), but if you look at the crafting recipe it is significantly cheaper to craft and if food decay becomes a thing you'll be ahead of the curve, just be aware you can ONLY store food in the container not even seeds can go in it but if your going to be doing some trading your going to need tons of crops which will take up alot of storage and fridges are as I said significantly cheaper to craft vs the other traditional chest containers. Any who hope that life hack helps you out with your storage needs my dude. P.S. I've been hearing rumors that you can make a microwave and cook corn into popcorn. Now with that said I've been watching alot of lets plays I have yet to physically see anyone do this in a game but the rumor also says that popcorn is OP for food but gives no water, but as I said it's a rumor and can be taken with a grain of salt... no pun intended lol, again hope ur enjoying the game my dude.

I’m pretty sure you can build the soil (for the plants) on any kind of terrain including the roof of the workshop. Also you can use seats to basically teleport (could use that to go up)

With two pistons you can add grid movement to your water canon and water the whole field. Use some logic controllers, and timers to fire when it's at the right position, and you can pretty much automate the process at the press of a single button/switch. That's what I plan to try when the update finally drops for us peasants! xD

There is a down flaw with your design there are Farm Bots with spud guns and stuff you can we put fertilizer on the ground / terrain camper on blocks so you can't have your farm off the ground

In another video series I've seen, they pointed the water cannons upwards so the spread is higher. One idea I came up with is using a one of those automation doohickeys to automatically tilt and fire the watercannon. If you can't get the Automation thingy to fire the gun you can instead make it to block a sensor which will do the same thing.

You were talking about that cute little thing at the bottom of the ocean On your stream yesterday that you can feed cardboard and they give you glow You can use glow to make glow sticks and they will last until you restart your session they're very Useful In some scenarios at least in my opinion. Genius idea :o now all you need to do is make a huge water line from the lake to your position. For your water System, its probably better to attach a chest to it. That way it can continually supply your watering machines. So you don't have to always go back to that pump station of yours, just bring a chest back.

Maybe you can use piping from the the pump and have it hot enough in the air 2 avoid the robots and spank it to your base. Then have a water tank connected to it and then connect the the water cannon to a switch and it can water constantly.

Hrmm, if you stuck a scrap seat on a small platform which itself was on a bearing on a vehicle, and then build an arm with a drill attached, it would act kinda like the astroneer mining crane. or a water cannon for watering larger crops i suppose too.

You need 1 bearing 1 piston 1 switch and a seat to be able to water everything you place the piston on a block then a block on the piston a bearing to be able to turn left and right and the water gun then hook up the piston to the switch and then the seat to the bearing and a button for the gun that's all
