The Ordinary Buffet and Niacinamide, Pixie Glow Tonic, Philosophy Vitamin C powder, Dr. Gross eye serum and Belif Aqua Bomb are my new faves for 2017. I also increased my use of essences/mists, oils, and masks of all types. I learned so much from you, Hirons, Uppies Beads, Gothamista, Trinny, and Stephanie Nicole. Thank you!

First of all thank you Nadine for all your wonderful videos! My best find for 2017 is not a new thing, just new to me. It’s John Masters Organic Scalp Treatment. I have very fine thin hair which is prone to falling out when I am stressed etc and this product has given my hair a new lease on life. It stimulates the scalp, has a fresh herby smell and makes the hair a little “gritty” allowing for a boost of body. Can really recommend it!

I've been using the microfoliant for about 7 years and it transformed my skin so didn't think anything could beat it. However tried the superfoliant this year and it's so gorgeous. My skin feels softer and there's a visible difference in its appearance (I'm 54 and need ALL the help I can get!). That's been my hero product of 2017. 😀

That Clinique serum has definitely been one of my favourite products of the year. I liked the Ordinary hyalaronic acid as well, but I prefer the texture of the Clinique one. Also, good old Advanced Night Repair, that I repurchase every wear. As for brands, my most used have been Ren, Avène and Clinique. I'm 34 and I've found the older I get the more sensitive my skin becomes, so I appreciate unscented products. I can't wait for Glossier to deliver in France so I can finally try that concealer.

This was the year i tried LaMer skincare. I really rate the tonic it lasts forever and really gives your skin that hit of moisture . Rodial has been another shocker for me. The 8-1 hydrator is amazing . And the Stemcell range my sensitive skin loves it. For eyes Algenist was another win for under eye. Lips would be ByTerry Baume de rose . Mask I’m torn between the Sisley black rose and the Zelens instant renewel. Both amazing !. Love the dermalogica superfoliant !. But Rodial 5% scrub rocked my socks too. :)

I love the way highlighters look on the skin. I have heard however that if you are over 35 to forget anything with shine including shimmer eyeshadow. What do you think? I have been looking at the Bobby Brown glimmer brick. Thanks
@ocandro7 жыл бұрын
Deb Blake Well it's been a while since you've commented, but in case you still want to know: 1. shimmery and glittery eyeshadow can accentuate wrinkles, hence this very old rule. But the formulas have changed so much for the good that you can absolutely wear it if you want to, most of the top make up artists use (especially finely milled) shimmery eyeshadow on 40+ women with gorgeous effect. you can always put shiny stuff on the mobile lid (or just in the middle of it, it creates beautiful dimension and bigger, rounder eyelid) and always in the inner corner and you can put mattes in/above the crease for better contours if your eyes are hooded/deep set by age or by nature. Rules are meant to be broken though . 2. there are h ighlighters with pearly or metallic shine and ones with wet/slightly oily skin effect. you can use the latter to great effect anywhere you want and can and with the metallic ones you might want to avoid wrinkly areas (crow's feet etc) and large pores or scars.

Hi Nadine, it would be great if you could please highlight the fact that the IT Cosmetics BB cream, which is not cheap, has irritating fragrance in it and therefore not suitable for acne-prone skin. It saves people money and is a more accurate reflection; please take it as constructive advice rather than anything negative. Ditto ordinary - would be great to find out the PH level of the Peel in order to determine its effectiveness. I LOVE the Super Hero mascara though - bought it on your recommendation and couldn't agree more!

Have you heard about the IT cosmetics 'anti-ageing Armour' (super smart skin perfecting beauty fluid)? Looks fantastic but not available in the UK apparently, tried to order it from 'Sephora' - put it in shopping basket and a message came up saying it was a 'restricted' item! Have written three times to IT cosmetics in the UK, no response, tried to ring them - couldn't get through - why on earth would a cosmetic be restricted?? Slightly annoyed that I can't get an answer because it looks like a lighter version of the CC cream and works with your natural skin colour but provides coverage where needed. Would love to hear if you have heard of it and if so, is it available anywhere in the UK.

When you say 'be careful' of using The Ordinary's Peeling Solution along with a Retinoid...what exactly should we be careful of? I'm using the peeling solution twice a week and I use their Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane every night before bed. Should I not be doing this??
@NadineBaggott7 жыл бұрын
Victoria Cameron as long as you have no sensitivity then keep doing it and granactive Retinoid is less irritating even at 5% than the classic 1% Retinol. I just find some retinols make me super sensitive to acids x
@VictoriaC167 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your reply! I was just watching a video of Trinny's and she mentioned that the 5% Retinoid by The Ordinary is actually one of their mildest ones and that the 1% Retinol is actually stronger. Is that strength what causes the irritation? (I'm in my early 40s with fairly normal skin but can sometimes be sensitive. That peel was very painful the first couple of times but my skin is used to it now).

The best product I have used, by far, is Rodan and Fields' Lash Boost! Made my lashes uber long and full

It's not new but I discovered Hydrextreme serum from Consonant Skincare (a Canadian company) and I can't live without it now. It hydrates and plumps my skin like nothing else I've tried.

Hey would really appreciate some help! I have just turned 23 and really want to get into skincare and looking after my skin more but I don’t really know where to start! I use liz Earle products cleanse and polish mainly but I’ve not noticed much of a difference... are there any products/brands you would recommend? I have combination oily skin and very large pours! Ps love your videos xx
