Mako3’s are super popular and still somehow underrated. Phenomenal disc

So you’re telling me to go buy a mako3 tomorrow
@jbrown27512 ай бұрын
Don’t buy a mako if you have a buzzz and vice Versa if your a begginer the only difference is buzzz has more glide

My whole bag was in that video. Still just a beginner Pure, Fuse, River and Essence. Just starting to incorporate some slightly overstable to compliment my bag. Enjoyed the video.

as far as bags I got a westside discs bag for 70 bucks or so. I really like it.

I think you need to talk about disc weight too! My noob noodle arm can't get anything above 165g disc to do anything I want it to do.

Since a year a friend recommend the Maul in 159 gr. By mistake i ordered 2 of it and now both are very often used. The flight curves are not the same; one goes a more right at the end.

Just got into disc golf because a friend recommended it and I had so much fun and got highly addicted. He showed me this video instantly and I got hooked. Watched some of your other videos and I like the way you guys give tips to the new guys. Thank you. I’m slowly building a bag. I have a mako3 and an aviar. Can’t wait to get more so I can get back on the course

My starter bag consists of Leopard 3, Mako 3, Jawbreaker Zone, P2 putter. I have a Wraith but have not reached its full potential yet. Currently throwing a leopard 3 off the tee box till I build up enough arm strength for the wraith

I would add that in midranges and drivers, getting a 160-169g disc rather than full weight is great if you can find it. Sidewinder is my preferred recommendation, which is very similar to the Avenger SS and the Diamond.

I went to my local disc golf shop and bought every $2 disc they had in the used section. Got a bunch of really comon beginner discs like leapords and aviars. I even got even some in premium plastics like a Prodigy A3.

PA-3, buzzz, crave, mamba would be my picks. Uplink is a strong mid too for beginners. I have given a lot away to beginners and they have had a lot of success with them.

What I've seen/tried the Origin has been more understable than a Fuse, however they are very compareable and I feel like whichever fits your hand better is a solid choice.

lol I just started about 2 weeks going on 3 weeks bought xcom beginner set from Amazon and never throw it lmao. Started watching a lot of James Conrad and that was it plus I seen an ace shot only video and James had like three in that one video so y’all can guess what disc I’m throwing only , I even got the backpack lmao . I love this sport I’m glad my boss got me into it . I throw like shit ,but it’s getting better lol

As a beginner with low arm speed. For innova. Aviar, rhyno, mirage, mako3 or wombat3, and as drivers, leo, leo3 or IT. Also my gf throws berg, luna, sol, comet, buzz. Outstanding low arm speed options IMHO.

A lot of recommendations for beginners are thrown by people capable of 350+ and thus won’t fly the same if you are only throwing 200.

my first fairway driver is technically a leopard and i throw it on just a little hyzer and it soars forever it feels. I also picked up the trooper bag and love it alot.

As a 4 week old player, the discraft soft magnet and mvp neutron soft nomad for sniping are my go to putters. Love the innova dx shark and mvp detour for midrange. Fairways innova dx teebird and mvp relay. My “distance” drivers are prodigy 500 H5 and mvp tesla. The mvp discs fly exactly the same at each speed, just slightly understable to stable and will hold an anhyzer turn. I find myself throwing nothing over a 7 speed at the moment because the 9 speed discs go the same distance. Wanting to add a mvp terra and latitude 64 keystone. Thanks for your video and recommendations!

This definitely helped me. I picked out a Judge, Mako3, River, Thrasher. The shop I went to confirmed these as good first choices.
@vkws8282 ай бұрын
I have tried most of these as a beginner and would choose the Westside Stag as the fairway option and a Crave for the midrange. The Mamba is a great choice for the Driver and a Pure is also a great option.

I have discs from every list you were going off of, and my bag is just a more filled out version of what you bought here! Aviar (lost my judge), hope, dagger, pure, swan reborn, harp, bounty, fuse, mako3, eMac truth, river, maul, Teebird, dragon (for water), saint, firebird, jade, sapphire, mamba. Used to have diamond but recently stopped bagging it.

Choices (new discs): Putter/Approach: Lattitude 64 Pure Midrange: INNOVA Mako3 Fairway Driver: Discraft Passion Distance Driver *Unstable: Discraft Avenger SS @Swanky Disc Golf: Throw that list up at the end. You did it for bags for some reason in the conclusion which really threw it off for me. Let me know if I messed anything up

For me P2, zone, buzzz or truth, river and the essence. For first distance driver would have to be a wraith. Was my first and still heavily used

4:09.... I own some cool looking discs, but most of mine are pink and baby blue. Teased when I'm in the rough. Is he on an Easter egg hunt??? The colors aren't natural but I find my discs. PINK is every REAL man's fav color if u get my meaning!

Overall I would reccomend going into the store. I am picky when it comes to, feel, Fan grips never come out clean for me so I dont throw them... my buddy fan grips Colossus and Destroyer. The main discs that I used to learn the game were a Gstar Sidewinder for turnover and distance, Z Buzzz for forehand, and I never figured out putting until I found a proxy, aviars were too floaty. Worst begineer discs I had were a Champion Thunderbird and Esp Zeus. 2 years in and those are still too much for me.
@chip69549 ай бұрын
Was it a coincidence that you were blocking the Bergs in the the video shot? I think not 😄. As a newer guy, the Mako3 has easily been my best purchase as I can easily diagnose form as anything other than straight means something was off; same vein with practicing hyzers/anhyzers
@michaelswick42515 ай бұрын
Rune, Harp, Buzzz, Hatchet, Leopard, River

Could anyone explain why a distance driver may ruin the experience? Is it due to taking the game more seriously at that point or due to specifically hunting for the exact path you're hoping for
@SwankyDiscGolf3 ай бұрын
Distance drivers just typically require pretty well established good form to actually fly the way they were meant to, and people would argue it’s best to learn how to throw putters and midranges before throwing a distance driver and getting discouraged because it’s not flying correctly. But if you enjoy it we’d say keep slinging it 👍

Several things here: I don't think this is really for a beginner beginner who hasn't learned to throw somewhat correctly. For those - like I was and still am to a big extent - there is no consistency and if you are playing at a course with a lot of brush/trees etc. there is no way you should spend that much on your first discs unless money doesn't really matter to you. I lost multiple starter packs the first 6 months that I played in brush that I didn't feel like spending more than 10 minutes looking for where the disc went. Also - no distance drivers for a true newbie - I wouldn't even suggest a fairway driver until you can get a midrange to fly decently a ways and straight.

@benjaminhoff50049 ай бұрын
Nothing wrong with that if you know how to pick them out. I've got a I Blend Emperor and a lower parting line metal flake that I can both get near my max distance out of.
@Adrian-wk7qn9 ай бұрын
If you want to get good, play with players who can throw destroyer and not that flippy shiz. Starting with flippy disc make you a make you bad player and you will never compete with people that throw real disc
