I like your explanation. With old age it is no longer possible to improve footwork. So playing defensively is the right choice, by trying to control and placing the ball. Replacing attacking bets with defensive bets, it seems to me that it still needs more consideration. I still prefer to attack on the forehand, defend on the backhand. A combination that still needs to be proven.

I still prefer to attack on the forehand myslef too.. But as you can see I often miss the ball.. :)

After some years playing ultra-slow anti on BH and having tried several blades, my personal choice is Sanwei Two Face, which combines Off FH with Def BH

The Donic Alligator Combi (my blade used in this video, which I'm sticking with) is also a double blade - the right side is All+ or Of -, depends who you ask :) and the back side is Def+. From the manufacturer's description, as well as from the only review on revspin for sanwei 2face, your blade seems faster on the forehand, I'm curious if the backhand is really def. I'll try it at some point, because you made me curious...
@brunosfogliarini833628 күн бұрын
@@antispinguy Its BH is really slow, much slower than the Alligator, which I tried as well...the main difference between the two blades is that the TwoFace is built by layering 5 different materials, while the Alligator is much simpler. In case you'll try the TwoFace, be careful that the Def side is the dark one with the logo insert, which is strange as typically the insert is mounted on the FH side

Well Slow Blade speciallt All wood suites well with LP ox but i think when played with anti and u are match with agressive player short shot plays can lead to easy point. But still preferences & playstyle matters and what suites to our gameplay.
@antispinguyАй бұрын
I agree, slower all-wood blades can pair well with long pimples, especially in OX (no sponge). If I understand well, indeed, when using antispin against aggressive players, short shots can be an advantage since they disrupt their rhythm. But, most important, finding the right combination of blade and rubber that fits your own game is key. Have you found a specific setup that works best for you?"

@@antispinguy well i right now i have it on timo boll alc and still it is slow im using PimplePark Tenaxx btw.

@@sirreyoxohh.. timo boll alc is a fast blade.. intetesting how you can feel your setup slow.. :)
@sirreyoxАй бұрын
@@antispinguy maybe because of the rubber i guess? I use 1.5mm sponge on tenaxx. I guess it just has better control compare go long pips ox

Lot of players, including myself, tend to focus on finding the 'perfect' blade, but is it really about the blade? Does the blade truly make or break your game, or is it more about the player’s skill and mindset?
@danagatonАй бұрын
The blade can help, but if your technique isn’t solid even the ‘perfect’ blade won’t save you :P

What anti spin rubber do you recommend?
@antispinguyАй бұрын
there are several types of antispin. in general, they are slower than regular rubber, all of them absorb (more or less) the power of the opponent's shot and are less reactive to spin. however, there are notable differences between a "frictionless" antispin and one that has more friction. also there are differences between a very slow one and a faster one. therefore, the answer to your question can have many nuances, depending on your playing style and what you want to do with the antispin. however, if you still want an anti-spin, I think you should take it for what it is meant to do: to be insensitive to spin and to slow down the pace of the game - so a frictionless antispin as slow as possible can be better. after a time, when you become more experienced, you can try other options.
