Did you try turning on the slope feature which gives adjusted distances based on elevation change? It's a bit unique for a GPS unit.

Great video Gabe, and I like the watch. Been thinking about one for Christmas, and this one looks just my speed. My best purchase so far this year,.. PING ChipR. Since having it in the bag, dropped an avg of 6 strokes off the card, and Ive played 9 rounds of golf since i got it, and 5 of those i broke 70's. Now, if i could just find the magic to make my sand game better, id be all set. Veterans Classic 2023, Myrtle Beach. My next goal.

Had this watch. Really liked it and slope worked great. Unfortunately it kept losing GPSand my scores as a result so returned. Sucked it up and got an S62. I recommend trying the Bushnell and see if it works for you

The more humidity in the air, the less density. Sounds counter intuitive, but there it is. The ball flies farther in humid air. 🙂

Most of us rarely use all the ‘features’ on most golf watches. So for a newer golfer or one that just wants to know how far to the green/flag it should do the trick. I won’t replace my S42 with it but I do have a friend who is thinking about a watch and this would be one to watch.

Seriously considering the watch but do you need to have your phone with you or connected in some fashion such as an app to use the golf features? I think I'd go Pro LX personally as it has both the analog and digital functions. But if you plan to use the apple watch for calls, emails, texts, etc, that could be the play.

I'm shocked that a GPS watch is not going to automatically continuously keep track of your distances of each shot like the Garmin S62 watch does. That's a BIG Turn Off for me with this watch. I was hoping this watch would do that, but I guess Bushnell is way behind the times when it comes to that feature.

Yes it sure does. Pretty flat on my course, but that's a super helpful feature in more hilly terrain.

@@LetsPlayThru the ion elite has the same retail price as the ion edge. Assuming Bushnell added “color” and changes the name and are discounting the ion edge to clear out inventory. Not sure. I really like the TAG golf watch, but it’s out of my price range I’m just looking for something that’s simple. I’ve tried the Apple Watch apps for years now and liked the ones that let me share “good shots”. But no one cares. I enjoyed posting them for my 90 year old high tech mother to see and enjoy the last few years she was living. She would leave comments but most people are like “oh he’s showing off” so sharing is not a feature for me anymore. I just want the numbers quickly so I don’t have to wake my iPhone up, look for the hole. I have a Bushnell rangefinder. But when I am half way across the fairway from my iPhone in the cart, I just swing and pray. Not committing to the club or swing. Usually that equates to a couple extra strokes.

Too expensive for what it is. I’ve been using one since three months and I really regret this purchase. (I had a garmin s42 that disappeared unfortunately) It’s not reliable, it looses the gps all the time, so you have to start from scratch in the middle of your game. It doesn’t do any stats just the minimum that you could do easily manually The slope adjustment is just a joke and therefore quite useless. If you’re ready to spend that money go for the garmin S42, it’s 100 times better in every aspects. Even the garmin s12 is superior to this bushnell.

Do you have to sync your phone app during the round or can you upload your game later? I've "paired" mine but can't see how to transfer game to app.
