It's quite interesting that I just ended up breaking the end of my aerial on my Traxxas and this video pops up...😱 I can't even drive it to the end of the driveway before it loses signal which is only about 30 feet away from me. I've seen a lot of videos with this so-called Dumbo RC transmitter. But I've never gotten one because I really didn't need it. But now... 10 channels and good range for less than $100? Count Me In! Whoever says you don't need 10 channels can shove it where the sun don't shine more is always better especially if it's cheap!😈 not to mention one of my favorite RC KZbinrs is doing a "stuff" video... best day ever!

I love my Dumbo RC radio I actually have the 4 channel version without the gyro on my 1604 SG Rally 1/16 scale I never knew they did one that's actually digital 10 channels wow with a ton of features it offers too. My only computer radio is my fly sky 10 model i bought like 13 years ago..i converted it to lipo since it took 8 aa batts...its only 3 channel,but it has it has long range like a dumbo...i do think this new dumbo is great,just seems a bit complicated...plus who needs more than 3 channels? Maybe some but 10 seems to many...i would like to see it used by a serious rc car racer to see if he could match his lap times that he gets with his $500 radio. Great video though..we all like to see whats new in rc..😊

Very cool, and thanks for showing the features! I just got the Bonzai drift truck and plan on putting lights, 24t pinion, 3S, and a brushless motor in it real soon. The 540 motor is ok for the drifting, but I want it to be stupid fast. Dumbo electronics are what I'm going with. Probably the best bang for your buck on the market. I plan on throwing another receiver in my crawlers so that winch option is super useful.

I've had bad luck with DumboRC radios. I had two and they both suffered from glitches that made them continue in random controller positions for about two seconds. Not fun having full throttle stuck and no control. It was a bit worse on some ESC's and less so with others but they were never anywhere near reliable. After an ESC upgrade it seemed to be fixed and worked for a few runs so I decided to go on a track. Well, throttle got stuck wide open, broke a track marshalls ankle and threw the DumboRC's in the e-waste where they belong in my opinion.

Sorry to hear that. I haven't had any of those issues with Dumbo but have that exact problem with Radiolink 4 & 6x models. It's scary when you lose control at speed man, I get it completely. That must have been a tough day when that happened 😮‍💨

What sold it for me was all channels support light control! So no more additional switches and cycling through unnecessary flashing and pulsing modes. And the price, of course. A couple of years ago I bought a 4 channel remote for 120 bucks, now I have 10 channels for half the price!

Cool song for your Stuff segment,what ya really need is loads of Stuff behind you,anything that looks like Stuff wil do.I still use the Dumbo Stuff on most of my rigs with expensive Stuff on them.People say to me ,you should not run such expensive rigs on a 30 Dollar Transmitter.I say to them its just Stuff that works well..This new Dumbo is inexpensive.Personally i dont like all the phone like screens on these controllers.I leave my phone at home when i go bashing.I think this would be a great bit of stuff for indoor buggy and other stuff.Stuff it ! Cool concept for a video... That's right, it's not just RC cars... We need info about all kinds of stuff! I am so fed up with buying a new radio system, I got no idea how many I got and they are all annoying, or at least got some sort of flaw... I just recently bought the small new Dumbo, and it is actually pretty good, but I am annoyed I need to replace AA cells all the damned time... Hi guys, My receivers don't seem to match a certain gyro I want to use on my drift RC car. Maybe you'd know of a different receiver I could use to match the PWM frequency of my high end gyro (333hz). I'm using a x6fg receiver and even after trying multiple ones it still doesn't steer even if the gyro itself can move the servo just fine. I haven't yet tried a x6dc, x6yc or x10fg. If you can find a solution to my problem I'd be greatly grateful. Cheers

From what I've seen it's limited to a 10 model memory right now. Fingers crossed they actually have enough memory for more and can unlock it with a firmware update in the future.

Curious I have to set my steering trim on my dumbo to 75% otherwise it goes farther than my ESC which makes it impossible to share with other cars. Does this have the feature to set that point?

It will yes, but given the size I'd look for an 80-100 amp. It's not your typical 1/10 size though, the one in the link is made more for buggies and road cars. I'll take a look and see if I can find one that would suit and add to the list 👍

Yes you can! I've had the RG6 and 4 in the past but I've had better success with the Dumbo's. The only thing the 6 is better at is tx range in my opinion 👍

Not a lot of receivers are water proof, on 1/10 crawlers they are usually in a water proof receiver box. I haven't gotten it wet, but I imagine as long as you don't submarine it too much it will work fine

They've said this TX is compatible with all their receivers, but the main limitation on this one is going to be model memory. Apparently it's only 10 models saved at a time. Hopefully they'll add to that in a firmware update.

Yeah it's a good unit, still using all my Dumbo transmitters. The only thing I'd say a bit negative is that if you have the brightness turn all the way up and don't set the screen to dim, you AA batteries will drain really fast. I adjusted the settings and switched to a 7.4 LiPo and the issue is pretty much gone 👌

Does it bind to the x6 rx

I've been able to bind it to all Dumbo Rx's so far. Even the x6 from Rlaarlo

I had a Dumbo RC transmitter that came along with my JLB 21101 rc car, and it had a lot of issues, I don't know if the next models are better. And also the song is...bad, simply ...bad. Sorry !!!!
