I think for a 14g the smaller one would be the way to go, just to make sure it's not to much. Plus the smaller footprint is a bonus. Definitely let me know how it goes.

I think i am going to try to get the bigger model and compare them. If i dont like this small one im going to exchange it if i can with amazon. And i honestly dont think this pump in constant stream is big enough for sps coral over 8-10 gallons. But with the wave settings that i have it, i can push it to 15 gallons for an sps tank.

hi I have question if a WaveMaker go's 100 gallon up to 210 gallon is that too strong for 75gal cichlids tank I do put my WaveMaker at top of my aquarium on same side intake most fish is Adult just a few Jubilee

Some aquarium pumps have tank size recommendations that can help guide you. You can get a pump rated a little higher and adjust it down so you have flexibility. Are you talking about gph/flow rate or recommended tank size?

Very nice. Have you tried one on either side of the tank angled up to get good surface agitation as well as flow? Try the on off wave mode on one and maybe constant on the other side. Try different modes and see how things in your aquarium respond. Let me know how it goes.

Yes I found this one is extremely quiet, compared to others I have used and even compared to my ai Nero pumps, the Hygger is really quiet.

Gotcha yeah with Hygger the random setting also randomises the other settings so the frequency is random as well, I can work on video about that.

Does it suck small fish in?

One of the smallest fish in my tank is the Clownfish and it has not sucked them in. The grooves around the pump are small so as long as the fish isn't smaller than the slits they should be fine. Also if the fish is healthy and not being bullied then they are strong enough to swim away.

Thanks for the question. The dawn, daylight and others are the Time ranges so that you can program different modes throughout the day. So if you wanted a constant flow in the morning and then more of a pulse during the day you can do that.
