The Kai Market Buffet at the Sheraton Waikiki has some of the best food in Honolulu, Hawaii. Focusing on Hawaiian-local dishes using fresh local ingredients, this is probably my favorite buffet on the island. From poke and sushi, to prime rib and mochi, this buffet has it all.

The food looked great and $50 is decent for a buffet of that range & quality where I live. I like how you can try a small amount of many different local dishes if you want, rather than having to decide on one dish.

What a great buffet! I'm so glad all three of you were able to go. The desserts looked fantastic. That one purple mochi...I suspect it was taro mochi with peanut butter filling. Yum! Peanut butter actually is good in mochi, even if it is non-traditional. Another non-traditional filling is half peanut butter, half Nutella. But I am a traditionalist, and I still like anko best, or shiro-an. It was wonderful to hear your chat with Michael! He's a great friend. Thanks to all of you for the great video! :-)

first rule of buffets, stay clear of carbs. that fills you up too much, and especially if you’re spending $50 for it, same goes for salad. 🙂 second rule is get your moneys worth, go for the steaks and lobster/really good and more expensive seafood. it’s how they make cash, by relying on people to fill up on cheaper rice/pasta/bread/salads dishes. plan your attack on the buffet. just saying boys. it all looked very good though, even the tofu 😆.

JӦYの貓 yes but at a buffet don’t eat them, it’s not worth the money. eat good meats and fish. vegetables fill you up quick. salads are for eating at cafe or restaurants not buffets, they’re a light meal or lunch.
@lyricoan9646
@lyricoan9646 6 жыл бұрын
Yes, especially if you can't eat a lot. I would only eat the seafood poke and meat. Skip the sushi because it's more rice than fish and eat sashimi instead. To keep your palate "alive", I eat a tiny bit of vegetables and other light dishes in between. You should also be careful of desserts. A lot of them are just cream and inexpensive.

Hey Shinichi, very nice to see your friend Michael from childhood. You know not alot of people have or stay in touch with their friends after a certain period of time. Especially since you live so far apart. Very nice to see. And not alot of people have one close friend in their lives that they can trust and say anything too and it won't be repeated. I have one close friend like that and we have been friends for 30 years. Really hard to come by. But anyway I just want to say that I have really enjoyed these videos from Hawaii. Say hello to Satochi and Justine for me and as always take care from Bethlehem pa

Killer Funghoul first it's Hawaii expensive. second they ate a lot of poke which is expensive. personally I would have loaded up with seafood and prime rib. Have you ever been to a Disney buffet which doesn't have great food and is just as expensive? Or those Chinese buffets that are cheap but lousy?
@killerfunghoul3948
@killerfunghoul3948 6 жыл бұрын
Dianne Hluboky seriously, even at disney land you’d waste your cash on rice and salad knowing you’re overpaying for it? you want a salad don’t got to a fifty dollar buffet, go to a restaurant or cafe. hell go to mcdonald’s, yes i know poke is expensive, so eat more of that and leave all the filling starches out and salads out. get your moneys worth. if it was me, i’d be eating as much poke, steak, and other expensive fish or meat as i can, because i know it will be worth it. salad you can by anywhere cheaply, poke you can’t get it cheap, common sense Dianne, leave the cheap rubbish at the buffet alone, go for the high priced items (crab, lobster, steaks, prawn, expensive fish) low priced items like pasta, rice, salad, starches, bread is how they make money off of people who don’t know better.
@diannehluboky2070
