Best Cabin BOAT At The Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show 2024

Had a friend with a cabin on the Fox River(midwest USA) on an Island in the river, they had to ferry supplies over several trips, I could see where this would be very useful, I remember one of the uncles saying how he was looking for a ww2 landing craft like a small duck. Yeah, I would bet the fishing camps in Canada would have something like this. Great video, I got lots of ideas, thanks. Big Thumbs up.

Great looking boat with that large of a fore deck area I woukd have expected to see a more robust scupper system.at my age a head is a definite need and if I'm in the far north land I would want someway to make hot beverages. The fuel tank issue goes with out saying but overall a really cool boat thst seems well priced given the obvious quality. Thanks as always for posting I'm always happy to see your takes on almost anything boating

Putting the air boat pads under the hull would make it perfect for Alaska rivers. I owned a boat shop and built some aluminum boats for game and fish and powered them with outboard jets worked great in Az rivers.

sun roof is sunken into the roof by a few inches where water from rain or waves can build up so expect a shower when you open it up.

Yeah they’re up there in price but very comparable to other 26 ft boats at the Ft Lauderdale boat show. I wish we had more to look at down here in south Florida! 🛥️🤙🌊

Perfect boat for people who live on an island and need a utility boat to move stuff back and forth. Lots of people could use a boat like this, marina owners, fishing guides, salvage companies and dock builders. Especially in fresh water rivers.

I like it but, yes needs a cool down color. The first thing I noticed was that manual bilge pump handle looked to be plastic, needs to be stainless or aluminum considering it's your back up. Where's the head?? Should be one for that price and size. Love the functionality of the bow ramp and the forward raked windshield. No doubt a Florida boat builder could dial this up to the needs of Floridians. With all the islands to explore, the bow is a ramp you could take Nana in the wheelchair. Love it ❤

I can tell its hand welded even from a distance. I can also tell you at least two people did the welding because some lines are clean and others not soo much.

This style is common in alaska and BC... "landing craft" for running aground and dropping off ATV's for hunting, Cargo, or what ever. You could even load something like an "EV Wheelchair" Like the Nova Eclipse on there, travel up and down the coast, put to "port" and drive the ev off to drive around towns and villages, buy stuff, and bring it back. You can get these with a Kitchenette (though the 850, 28'er has a bit more room in the cabin) dinette, fridge, stove, sink. The only thing they seem to be missing and... is a deal breaker for many, is the head/show head option.

@perfectfitboating oh cabin boats in general are common. Great for camping, weekend trips, or running the great lakes. My fav is the c dory. Picture a 16 foot, with cabin and vberth. They don't make them anymore which is a shame. 22foot is there smallest. Weldcraft has several including cuddy king and ocean king. That said, if I ever won a lottery. ACI oh boy, what they can do custom. But even stock their landing craft are amazin. They have a 34x12lumacat that comes with a beaching ramp. They know how to make stuff for cold water

That fuel capacity is really pathetic. It needs at least double that. It also needs to be painted a lighter color with some sort of heat reflective paint. And I hope it has sound deadening material in the hull as aluminum boats can be loud. Otherwise, pretty cool!

Fuel capacity definitely needs some work. He mentioned off camera the sound deadening for the hull. I believe he said it’s pressure foam injected? I could be wrong. But he mentioned no noise. Definitely a cool boat! 🛥️🤙🌊

I'm disabled and I felt like this was made for me, 26 ft and I can handle it with the launch and recovery. No need to have to find someone to help.added a 45 fuel tank, and handles well in SF bay.

@ who said anything about fiberglass. The idea of the Landing crafts actually came out of World War II. The design has been improved upon. Most working tubs are made up of steel and wood. The only point that I was trying to make is that it doesn’t have to be entirely out of aluminum. Aluminum is expensive and aluminum welding is expensive because it’s difficult.

There is a Turkish yard building larger versions with larger live aboard accommodation and load carrying for off-road vehicles or resupplying and toy carrying as a support vessel. Scandinavian and Dutch also build similar work boats for cleaning up rubbish and lost fishing gear along the Coastline and islands up into the artic circle. If you want to insulate underfoot decking cork works well in all climates though you are not likely to be barefooted on a work/adventure boat.
