Awesome video! I’ve found that to help camera operators learn what angles to find, I’ll have them sit with me on the switcher and I’ll just narrate what I’m doing and why I’ll put a new angle on the screen. So when something like a bridge is building, they start thinking about what would be good for the livestream and find that creative angle

Thank you so much Brady! We'll be having our annual Christmas musical in 2 weeks, and will be our first time using 3 cameras to record it! This video came on the right time! God bless, my friend!

What cameras are you guys using as camers 1-5? Love the video and have checked out your church's livestream. It's great!

Blackmagic cameras for the most part

Nice! Thanks for sharing Brady. Never seen the truss as a tripod method. They just attaching a riser bowl to the end of box truss?
@prochurchtools2 ай бұрын
Yep. That’s exactly it. 3-foot base for stability. Only way to get to 9 feet portably stable.

Thank you for this breakdown, Brady! How would you go about setting up those first 2 cameras if there is obstruction? Our sanctuary, unfortunately, has a load bearing pole right in the middle of sanctuary just a few feet in front of where our pulpit is positioned
@prochurchtools2 ай бұрын
In that case, a camera on/next to that pole could work. Or a camera like our camera 3 to the left/right.

Excellent video. We use PTZ cameras because of lack of volunteers/operators. There's a certain aesthetic that is lost with PTZs, but it's about the worship, not the performance.

Would you recommend adding another 90 to stage left/house right?

As a sixth camera? I suppose you could.

Your video on "The Church iphone filmmaking masterclass" was shot on an iphone pro but some of us use the ordinary iphone and don't have the apple log color space. I know we can just use Rec 709 instead. But what happens when we're editing with filmbox on Davinci resolve? What do we change our source to?

We currently have "unmanned" PTZs in the positions you've listed - If we start training up people to man individual cameras, which positions would you prioritize?
@prochurchtools2 ай бұрын
Still in the same 1-5 order.

How do you like your PTZs? We’re about to move into a new campus and are planning to install PTZs.

Because volunteers are always at a premium I created a rig that has two cameras on a single tripod so we can have two follow shots with a single operator.

Where can I get those steel pillar camera tripods that you’re using at your church?
@prochurchtools2 ай бұрын
That's just truss.
@randykelch50352 ай бұрын
That doesn’t look like a standard truss. Did I come with a plate or did you add your own?
