VW Skoda cars ka overall ownership cost is more than a Maruti, -> parts are more costly -> for small damage that can be repaired, vw/skoda service centers tend to replace the whole part itself, and that's expensive. -> parts are a little difficult to find and procure (atleast in tier 2 and tier 3 cities) -> your nearby mechanic might not be able to fix the vw/skoda car when compared to easy repairs of Maruti. but this price gap has reduced a lot since vw/skoda localization, most part of the car is manufactured locally in India.

Don't comment stupid comments if you don't know anything about this Skoda Volkswagen 2.0 / 2.5 cars ... They are offering 4 years of maintenance package which is quite good. Yes Maruti Suzuki has less maintenance but it also doesn't offer Performance, Handling as well as Built quality like Skoda or VW...

chill out buddy.. have I mentioned that vw skoda maintenance is bad?? all things i have have mentioned are realtime issues customers face in all types of cities. Not everyone goes to service centres for small repairs.. and claim insurance. And the maintenance plans skoda vw group is offering. first check what basic things they are covering and the cost they are charging.. and compare that to Maruti. Last point - the person asked the question on maintenance not which car drives better. there obviously will be issues with Maruti also, but who asked ?.

Compare a Škoda and Maruti in safety aspect also friends. I have a Škoda , maintenance is a bit higher side but it has a strong body.
