Great question - it has been used in low concentration safely and effectively for a long time and there are trials showing this specifically at the 4% concentration mentioned here. At much higher concentrations there are of course cytotoxic effects to worry about so I always recommend keeping it low. I have a video coming out in the next two weeks showing this too; hopefully you'll find it insightful.

Hi Dr abs Is there any specific supplements I should be taking for acne I’m vegan low sugar on Tretinoin 0.03 and still getting hormonal inflammatory papules/pustules ? (I’m a guy ) I measured my testosterone and the border on the high end

Testosterone being high will play a part. But, a supplement isn't what you need - you need a full plan. Definitely see someone experienced and qualified to fully treatment plan everything like supplements, skincare, clinical treatment etc

NMN is not studied long term, therefore its been pulled from the U.S. market. In terms of safety we dont have enough years and data to back it. What about it potentially causing a harmful effect in the body (i e. Cancer)?

That really unfortunate tbh. It doesn't cause cancer - cancer is metabolic. There's zero cause and effect relationship between nad and cancer and there never will be I'd say.

Yeah definitely. Most things are better than collagen powders because we don't take in whole collagen as human beings. We take in the nutrients required for them - this makes supps like Nutrakos and multivitamins etc much more appropriate.

​@@Dr_Abs Can I just ask you what are the side effects of this? I have taken collagen powder made by vital protein and it gave me horrible heart palpitations and anxiety. All stopped now. I tried another brand then I had knee and joint pain something I have never ever experienced before. My metabolism is quite good, so now I think the only option for me is bone broth, as it is more bioavailable. I don't have any allergies.

Why not take a collagen supplement that has amino acids which are good not just for your face but also for your ligaments, tendons etc? Is there a competing effect or something, I just don't understand why you would want to buy a type of collagen just for the face?

That's what amino acids do anyway, they work systemically. We can't take them and make them only work in one place. That concept only exists in marketing.
