I worked on a legal Cannabis farm for little bit when I was living in Humboldt. The potting soil most growers use is either Formula 707 or Fox Farm Ocean Forest. But anyways I’m sure they’d be great for fruit trees to! 🤷♂️

Won’t rot?
@samuelstewart20544 жыл бұрын
@@SenzuBeaner they drain too well for rot but I guess with the wrong soil anything can happen... If you are talking about the bags then I'd have to say no they will not rot at least not that I've seen.

@@samuelstewart2054 how long do they last mate?

@@NMW80 I've never had one become unusable in the 5+ years I've been using them. Even wash them in the washing machine(not the dryer) and they come out like new. had one on the ground for about a year and the roots went through it and it was fine and reusable without any visible holes or tears.

Your container trees look awesome. Any chance you got a video on container soil, fertilizer, and when to repot? Thanks for the videos.

Prebagged mix labeled citrus and cactus mix is a good start like he said. If you're looking to make your own, think along the lines of compost, wood fines, sand, perlite/vermiculite, some peat moss and a nice layer of mulch around the tree but without touching the trunk. I'd recommend mounding the tree above the lip of the pot so that when it settles you'll still be close to full. Ultimately they love fast draining soil that won't get overly soggy (like peat moss).

Will the roots grow outside the bag eventually?
@ScaryHairyGary11 ай бұрын
Hair roots will but the big roots won't. Unless you make holes and plant the bag down in the dirt and then the roots will go through

Nice video. Do you wait for the top couple inches of soil to dry out first or do you keep it consistently moist?
