This is what I consider to be one of the #1 ab exercise to improve core stability for athletes. There are what we call, "plyometric planks".
Too many athletes do planks until they feel like they are going to puke, when in reality, this is actually hurting their bodies. When working out, whether it's for, football, baseball, basketball, you need to be focused on your main goal...and that goal is to become the best possible player you can be.
You are not to be focused on how you're going to get yourself to puke after every workout.
