So one way I've learned to help keep that feeling alive season after season is to continue growing new things each season. I've been gardening for 7 years now, and this year was my first time ever growing fruit (raspberries and blueberries). Picking and eating blueberries right off the bush first thing in the morning is something that really helped renew that sense of wonder you grow your own food.

I made this two days ago. Finished the leftovers yesterday for lunch. I must say it is honestly one of thee best curries I have ever had and made. Absolutely delicious. When I still ate chicken I grew up eating amazing curried chicken. But the curry always hit all the different taste profiles. We always enhanced traditional Indian curries with some sweet chutney or a bit of brown sugar as some sweetness just brings out the rest of the flavours. This recipe is on point when it comes to hitting that perfect notes of spicy, sweet, umami & salty.🤤👌 - Love from South Africa❤🇿🇦

I live on Vancouver Island, B.C. And our weather is somewhat similar to you. I am an avid organic gardener. I planted lemon grass two years ago and let it go to seed and I have it coming up everywhere. It is still coming up two years later, and I am letting some of it go to seed every year to keep it going. I let it grow about 40cm tall and then weed it out and freeze it. That way I have fresh lemongrass during the summer and frozen from my garden in the winter. You may curse me in the future for recommending to plant it but it weeds out super easy and I eat it fresh right out of the garden, delicious and refreshing! I have made a lemongrass simple syrup that I keep in my fridge which is amazing added to water as a delicious lemonade. My yellow Labrador loves to munch on the plants all the time. Cheers!! Love your content!!
