It would be amazing if Evergoods sends you their new version for review. Would love to see the review coming from you.

Fantastic review. Very thorough. Personally, I like that you compared the CPL24 to the GORUCK GR1, which is the standard by which I compare any backpack. I have the CPL24, and I essentially agree with the all of the pros/cons that you pointed out. Great job and keep up the great reviews.

Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! I really appreciate the support and glad to hear that you have had a similar experience to me with the bag! Its a great option and even though I prefer the Goruck, after their price hike it is definitely one of the better alternatives at the moment =)

Great review! I was considering this bag until I saw the $230 price tag its simply not worth that, but it's currently available for $160. At that price I will definitely be getting this bag for daily carry!

Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! I’m glad the video was helpful and at that price I definitely agree it’s a great deal for such a solid daily carry!:)

Really great review. This bag had a lot of promise in the beginning, especially being built in the US. Now that is being built overseas the price point is not justifiable. Also the quick access side pouch is designed for lefties, another bag, the defy Bucktown also had The same design and I found it difficult to quickly maneuver.
@dannypacks6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! thats a good point about the bag being easier to use for lefties, i hadn't really thought about that but i can see how it might be inconvenient to only be able to swing the bag around from the one side. And i definitely agree about the price point, i think it would be much easier to buy if it was $ 100 cheaper haha

I purchased the pack on sale in the lighter silver and I also own a Go Ruck. The Go Ruck is overpriced in my opinion but is a heavier duty better quality pack. This pack should be under $ 200.00 for sure. I also wished it had hideaway straps as when you carry it sideways they are in the way. maybe even a couple loops for a shoulder strap would work also... The overall size of the pack is for someone very small framed and on my 6'2" body it feels like a children's daypack.... no hydrate bag hanger as far as i can tell in the compartment for a bladder... great reviews as always and keep them coming...D

Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! I agree the hideaway straps would be nice and I can definitely see how this would feel small for your height! That’s great you were able to get it on sale, it’s a cool bag and definitely nice to be able to alternate between the Goruck and this ones more minimal style!:)

Goruck GR1 is now $395, while this is currently $159 for the Standard Grey.

Do you know if the Version 2 has upgraded materials that does not attract dust and hair like this version?
@dannypacks4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and good question! I don’t know about the cpl24 specifically but I did notice that the fabric on the CHZ22 picked up less dust and dirt than this one!

Hey ! Nice review How much stuff were you able to put in the packing cube at 14:37 ? I'm really digging this bag but I wanna know if it's possible to use it for a 3 to 4 days trip (packing minimal, obviously)
@dannypacks5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! I’m glad the video was helpful! In the packing cube I typically have 3-4 pairs of shorts or jeans and a few button down shirts so I do think for a minimal packer it could work for a 3-4 day trip for sure! Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)

Nice informative video. I have decided to buy the CPL 24 thanks to ypur review (and the one from Chase Reeves too). Can you tell me what is the little device you have attached to the key chain at 9:45 ? What is it for? Thank you

Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! I'm glad the video was helpful and I hope you enjoy using the bag alot! That item is the Gerber Shard and it is a very simple multitool that has a small pry par, a screw driver, and bottle opener and I like carrying that with me as its typically allowed on most airlines. Hope that helps and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer =)

Hello , debating between the mission workshop rhake vs evergoods. Whats your thoughts? Thanks!
@dannypacks6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! I haven't had a chance to check out the Rhake bag just yet so I can't say for sure, but it seems like both bags would be great options and it would depend alot on what size, style, price and organizational options you prefer. The Evergoods CPL 24 has a great minimalist look and it doesn't have a ton of organizational compartments but the ones that it has are all very useful. The Rhake bag looks a little bigger than the CPL and it seems to have alot more pockets, so if you need more space or more organization that may be the better option. Also, it seems like the rhake is at least 100 more than the CPL so if price is a factor than the Evergoods bag may be a better option. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer =)

Sucks that the side handle, laptop opening, and external pocket opening face left.

Thank you for watching! and yea its always tough when the zippers don't match up with the side that is more comfortable for people to reach when swinging the bag around, id definitely be curious to try out a bag that had a zipper on both sides haha =)

Seems like a good review but I just don't know how he could consider this as a contender for a list of "Best Daily Bags" when he hasnt had it long enough to remove the tags.
@dannypacks6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! I typically keep the tags on the bags throughout the period where i can still return them, so I was able to test this out for about 20 days, which has typically been a good amount of time to determine whether id enjoy using it regularly on a daily basis. I wouldn't be able to speak for the long term durability necessarily, but based off the materials that were used, the company's warranty, and by comparing it to other similar bags that i have had for many years, I feel confident that the bag would hold up well for at least a few years. I did enjoy using the bag alot, but i ended up returning it within the 30 day return period because I found I enjoyed using the Goruck GR1 more and since both of these bags are pricey it was hard to justify keeping both haha Hope that helps clarify a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag =)

Deal killer for me: the dust and lint. It made me get rid of my Brevite Jumper even though that was a great bag for me. too bad because I like just about everything else about the evergoods bag.
@dannypacks3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and that’s a fair point! Although the newer versions of the bag have improved on this a bit, it’s still tough to keep the bag looking clean :(
@tuesdayrock3 жыл бұрын
@@dannypacks That's great info. I really appreciate it when reviewers talk about materials with regard to keeping clean. I have gone through so many backpacks and watch many of your videos before making my purchases. I ended up getting the Bellroy Transit workpack. It's 20 liters and a great size for daily carry. The black colorway stays so clean. Finally found my daily carry , but won't stop me watching your vids!
