is wave rider 28 lighter? i have 27 and it's a nice shoe despite its weight and in firm side.
@MiracleWarriors2 ай бұрын
@riyadiaja9250 it is about the same weight. Like ~5g less . The Wave Rider 27 & 28 are firm in the forefoot with good energy return and soft but stable and bouncy in the heel. While shoes like the Velocity Nitro 3 is the opposite: firm in the heel and not much bounce and soft and bounce in the forefoot. I love both feelings . The WR 28 works very well from very slow to fast enough while a Velocity Nitro 3 is not so great for slow runs since the foam in heel is hard and fits very well running at moderate speed up to all out to break a 3k/5k PB.

@Martha-fluterunner2 ай бұрын
@lunchisonme I, too, had both these shoes at the same time but their fit was opposite of one another. The Mach 6 worked better for my medium/narrow feet, which kind of swam in the Rebel 4 though I still enjoyed them for about 200 mi. It was just hard to feel secure in them with the upper being so voluminous and kind of flimsy at the same time. I know the light weight and breathability factors were great on them but the Mach hug my feet so nicely and are equally fun, and I suspect more durable now that Hoka started adding real outsoles. I’m on my 2nd pair. Unless you have wide feet I think you made the right choice.

I know it's not a popular shoe, but I have been absolutely loving my Diadora Cellula. It strikes a very nice balance between soft and cushioned that allows my legs to stay fresh, but it does not bottom out, for feel like I am running in sand like some other soft foams I have tried like the Fresh foam in the 1080s. Additionally, the shoe has great grip that gives me confidence on my turns, somethign that was missing from the Asics shoes I have tried. The upper is also very nice and breathable, which as a runnner based in the extreme southern US is 100% necessary (it was nearly 80 on my run today). I also think it is the best looking running shoe, but I may be biased as purple is my favorite color, lol.

The outsole makes them the first HOKA’s into which I’ve been able to put well over 200 miles. I tested all the new Asics shoes at the CIM expo and as fun as they are, they’re just too chonky for me with those back-jutting midsoles. I need more nimble, aerodynamic designs somehow.
