I have a Vantrue N5 dash cam in my truck. It’s a 4 channel camera. So it has 2 cameras facing toward the middle of the cabin of the truck

on my XL the mirror doesn't have the electrical connection on mirror. is there someplace else to connect it?

Yea you can probably get a hardwire kit to route it over toward the fuse panel at the floor on front passenger. I have a radar detector hanging from my rear view mirror and plugged into my mirror. I have a Vantrue N5 dash cam and I wired it in on the passenger floorboard panel

Their are different kits for that. Select the dash cam for your mirror mount.

Hey bud, first of all thanks for the great information and outstanding videos. Your service and technical expertise is great to see! I have been trying to find information on which model year and engine combination is best for the Expedition. Not a big fan of turbo engines in a large vehicle such as the eco boost and I know the last year for the v8 was 2014. I have been a Ford owner all of my life and have owned Fords since I started driving. I was wondering if you had an opinion on the best year of the Expedition compared to the gm line of the equivalent suv? Which would have the best longevity, the eco boost or the ls powered gm product? Don’t really want to rely on the eco boost working that hard or is that even an issue? Thanks and hope you can either respond or maybe have a comparison series like you did with the f150’s or the superduties. Keep up the great work! Thanks, Ric

I have a 22' King Ranch with 35k miles and an considering changing the transmission fluid but For say 60-80k what are your thought?

I see a potential problem… it’s with the WiFi connection. So, in my 2016 Expedition CarPlay used the vehicle’s Bluetooth connection. Any interaction with my garage door opener through the MyQ app worked through my home’s WiFi network. However, traded the Expedition for a 2924 Ram. The CarPlay wants to use your WiFi connection… thus, knocking off the MyQ connection. I can disconnect CarPlay to use MyQ, but no more wireless sync from my iPhone. To fix that issue I just use the vehicles garage door opener buttons instead of the MyQ app. It’s weird because if I’m out of town I can open-close/ lock-unlock doors using the app. But, if I’m right in front of the house it won’t work. Weird… anyway, if we have something else wanting to use WiFi in the vehicle it’s gonna want priority as well, correct? Too bad there’s no option to create different WiFi SSID’s to allow multiple connections.

These guys are in the business of selling you something. They provide little DIY footage to help you with your repair. They will show you why you need a certain tool and according to them you need a bunch. There are better videos and mechanics to watch and listen too.
