We I’m onboard, absolutely love the fishing you two are doing, fantastic videos carnt wait for the next one, one tip if you are Elle too maybe think about getting a cryvac machine it helps keep roof for much longer, and in some cases actually helps tenderise food.👌👍❤️

Nice one jjs like the camper and boat but maybe a different tow rig so you can put boat on and swag out of for a couple of day here and there keep up the good work

Yeah that’s great advice thanks! The prado has been great for us but if I had my time again I think a Ute would have been more suited to us and all our gear 😂

Great vid, how good is East Arnhem. We travelled with exactly your setup Trackabout and roof top tinny, and sometimes you are really pushing it to get to spots with that boating setup. We now have a Tommy Camper on a dual cab and a Quintrex Renegade 420. The Tommy is great, the 420 is still maybe a bit small even though it makes roof topper seem like a toy. We already had the 420 but I think if I was buying again I might go for a 460. It's a toss up probably easier to get some places with the 420. More capable in the rough with the 460.
@jamesnjacqdriftin2 ай бұрын
That’s some really good info, we are thinking around that 460 size, won’t know what to do with ourselves with all the extra space 😂 A Tommy camper would be the dream, unfortunately financially we are a fair way off
@RogerLawsonxx2 ай бұрын
@@jamesnjacqdriftin well the next best option is roof top tent on a vehicle with storage and kitchen setup. We actually started there when we first had our 420. Bought the track about and roof topper for a specific trip and then went back to that before getting a Tommy earlier this year.

@@RogerLawsonxx how do you find it going from the luxury of camper to living out of canopy and RTT ? We also started with a RTT on a Ute years ago, but was not setup for living out of
@RogerLawsonxx2 ай бұрын
After the Trackabout we had a Hilux at the time with a rtt our daughter slept in. We put a tub canopy on, utemaster, and pretty much built a draw system in the back exactly like the Trackabout. As a setup it worked great. My wife wanted an inside toilet and standup inside to get changed so went the Tommy. Setup was so fast and easy and we always had all our stuff even on day trips. It suited us as we aren’t the go to a spot and sit around for a week type. So for just the 2 of us we much preferred that setup to the Trackabout

@@RogerLawsonxx cheers for the info, very helpful. We are also not great at sitting still for more than a few days 😂

Lovely ep and fish in a specky place guys, how good was the weather, I recone a great setup to travel Aus for one or a couple. Is a tray back 4wd or 6x4 tray back 4wd with a slide on camper with legs , and tow a 4,5m to 5m tinny or plate boat on a Alloy single axle or tandem axle full offroad trailer with a 6000lb winch on the winch post for retrieving the boat.

Thanks Craig! That’s awesome advice. We have been doing a heap of research on slide off campers, but they are just so expensive!

Wondering how you chose that boat and if it's the highest sided 3.7 tinny out there?
@jamesnjacqdriftin2 ай бұрын
I believe it’s one of the highest ones you can get, they are also one of the widest ones you can get.
