How long does it take to go away after making the suggested changes? I think mine is just due to pregnancy because I get it every time but when I give birth it goes away after(this is my 3rd baby) so not sure if changing diet is helpful in this case or not, but it's getting hard to deal with right now so I'm going to try. Even drinking water brings acid into my chest, and I can't bend down without the feeling of it burning up my chest into my throat.

@@mariocartel544 are you by any chance in the second or third trimester? You can get this due to the baby having hair. Milk helped me when i was pregnant but only for a few minutes at a time. Could be because the baby is pressing on your stomach. Sorry not much help, but wish you and yours the best 🙏 Im currently suffering with it but not pregnant, its horrendous, seeking ways to get rid of it.

I love cauliflower!!!! It tastes light and to me, its not as harsh as broccoli!! I recently been diagnosed with gerd and because its kinda watery tasting, it doesn't irritate my stomach at all!

Really needed this, thank you! Recently found out I am suffering with acid reflux and up until today had merely been avoiding certain foods but hadn't actually thought to look at what foods would help.

Thank you for the great video. Since you mentioned that fried food is bad for acid reflux, can I use a small amount of sesame or olive oil for frying?

Great tips but grains can be very inflammatory and negative impact digestive health further down in the small and large intestine. This in turn can increase intestinal permeability. Also dairy can trigger GERD. Fermented unsweetened non gmo soya, almond yoghurt or milk have the benefits of probiotics without the potential unwanted health issues

Thank you, great point will certainly have a look at that as I wasn't aware. Can you help me with any sources or research? Cheers

@@doctorkhalid mainly pub med, Jama etc. A lot of Functional medicine doctors referencec the studies when discussing "leaky gut". Their views often include links to the specific studies in the description box below their videos (which I'd where I first found them. But after this I researched it myself to find existing data and other publications)

I love cauliflower because I grew up eating it fried and in rice plates with meat it’s absolutely delicious and even raw

Foods can’t change the ph of our stomach. Never seen any research on this.
@doctorkhalid2 жыл бұрын
So I agree, your stomach usually holds a pH of around 1 but with meals rises. While foods do not make a permanent change, they do cause a rise in the pH of the stomach post meal - it can be argued that different food can do this at different rates. Over time tho it goes back to its usual pH.
