It’s not been officially confirmed, but the theory behind when Fused Zamasu goes half corrupted is that the attack from Goku was so strong that it killed Goku Black, but because a Kai can’t unfuse, Zamasu is now fused to Goku Black’s dead body and thats why half of his body goes like that

@@emperorbelos6835 I'm a bit agnostic on this next part because I can absolutely see both sides. *Light spoilers incoming* : It's really cool because what's coming is very impactful and terrifying because we see Zamasu with even more insane reality warping and omnipotent feats that we've never seen from a Dragon Ball villain and we likely never will again. But at the same time, I can see the dislike for it because of the way that Trunks' story wraps up is really sad imo and his timeline is utterly gone when everything is said and done. So I see both sides for sure

The hate comes from: -Vegito’s fusion not lasting due to power exhaustion making no goddamn sense, especially considering how metamoran fusion suffers from the same issue (look at Gotenks for proof) yet Gogeta lasted a lot longer. That literally means the win was taken from Vegito just to make Trunks be the one to deal the final blow (even though he’s not even remotely up to par with Vegito or Zamasu). And that leads us to the second point: -Trunks asspulling the ability to use the “spirit bomb” to make a sword that has all of humanity’s power imbued into it. Putting aside how it makes no sense that he’d have been able to use that move, how in the world would that energy have been enough to battle Zamasu? It took all of the humans on Earth to take down Kid Buu, but apparently the energy of the couple thousands of people still alive in this timeline was enough for Zamasu? And in the end, it didn’t even work because: -Zamasu asspulls this random universal takeover thing for no reason, with it making no sense. And in the end, he had to be taken down by a fucking Deus Ex Machina, the Future Zeno who had nothing to do with this at all, removing any story tension or emotional significance from the finale of the arc.

DBS has always been flaky as fuck when it comes to power scaling that makes no sense from the beginning to now (from introduction of Beerus and his power somehow to continuing to scale higher for no reason to forcibly keep him above the main cast to all way to now with the new movie's asspull transformations and powerscaling). The *narrative* at the conclusion of the Arc is what people were pissed about because Trunks is left with nothing at the end of the Arc, his entire timeline is erased and he's sent to live in a duplicate timeline that's not his and already has another Future Trunks and Mai meaning that he absolutely failed to protect his future and everything his character has done has been for nothing despite the happy ending that he got in DBZ. That's the thing that pissed people off: the ending itself because of the implications it has for the character of Future Trunks.

Things I just want to point out: Goku pushed himself with his kamehameha so hard he broke his arms which is why they went limp, there has been subtle progression from last arc to this arc as SSB in U6vsU7 arc drained a lot and as a result the more its used the less powerful it got but in this arc they mastered it so that drawback isn't there anymore. Also SSBKK in U6vsU7 was a work in progress last resort that goku needed to build up to, but in this arc he's able to quickly call upon it and over power zamasu with no lasting effects.

@@dragonmaster3030 the reason Vegito blue couldn't realistically use it is due to the fact that Vegeta has never learnt it. Even if goku had mastered it its literally putting 100 with 0, which means Vegito's body would break just like ssbkk x10 against hit or kaioken x3 against Vegeta. By the T.O.P Goku had trained his body to take the Kaioken at max force and nullify the side effects, my guess is that the god ki helps with that due to its healing factors and its divine essence overpowering the kaioken's strain on the body, of course that needs practice to actually happen.

Bro, Us hearing the mention of Vegito with that heroic music was so heart stopping for us. Especially when we first saw him over 23 years ago and he put on quite a good show for his first apperence against Buu. But I think the most hyped thing about seeing him in DB Super was him going SSB. We were curious if he could do it and we were glad when he did. Not gonna lie tho, Vegito is cool but im more of a Gogeta fan.

@@DTK_Symmetry fusion dance fusion also wears off faster when using high power transformations. Gotenks defused 5 minutes after turning SS3 while fighting Super Buu. They should’ve just never changed Potara fusion to be temporary for mortals. It was so unnecessary. We know Potara fusions can be undone via a wish on the dragon so there was already a mechanism for reversing them without needing to make it exactly like the fusion dance with a time limit that decreases with power output.

To sum up, Zamasu's entire body has been affected by Goku Black's mortality. His very existence is a paradox that shouldn't be at all. An immortal body fused with a mortal body. The answer in the anime is that Zamasu's immortal healing factor can now be overtaxed if you exceed the rate of his healing, dropping him down from 'completely impossible to Kill' to 'stupid hard, but doable.' Edit: Another dumb factor on Zamasu's part was the fact that Goku Black was in Super Saiyan Rosé when they merged. As warned back in the Buu Saga, fusing while being in Super Saiyan or any higher variant will Mode Lock the fusion in that form. While this WOULD make the fusion far stronger and no matter the damage, they'd stay in Super Saiyan, it's lethal to fusions due to the overwhelming amount of power put into it being taxing on the fusions combined life force. Sure, Zamasu's immortality negated the drawback, but could only do so for so long. If Black remained in base form when they fused, they wouldn't have as big an issue with melting down. It's also implied Zamasu's sanity is a factor in maintaining it, and the harder it nosedives, the harder it is for him to recover from damage. Given how, despite his insane power as a fusion, a Potara one no less, and how Trunks, Vegeta, and especially Goku have continued to humiliate and overpower him multiple times, capped off with being permanently disfigured, to say nothing of the violation Vegito, another Potara fusion who, despite being a mortal, is handing Zamasu multiple servings of his ass on silver platters in every manner possible in battle... Put simply, he's not having a good day.

This also justifies WHY every time Goku, Vegeta, Goten, and Trunks have fused, they always do so in base form. So, Goku Black being Super Saiyan Rosé when he fused permanently mode locked Fused Zamasu in his own variant of Super Saiyan Rosé, as fusees transformed before fusing Fusions are incapable of reverting to base form. God Ki may function differently, but its still Ki, and therefore, limited, and due to the conditions above, Zamasu badly debilitated himself without even realizing it. He made himself absurdly powerful, and thanks to fusions retaining the skills, memories, techniques, and abilities each fusee has (meaning, like Goku Black, Fused Zamasu can abuse the Zenkai boost as much as he wants, has Zamasu's propensity for magical abilities (something he demonstrates to good effect in the manga), and immortality, but the drawbacks he got, just because they wanted to showboat their 'greatness' above the 'lowly and pathetic mortals', was more than enough to screw them over in the long run.

Tbf the manga versions of Black and Zamasu were also far weaker. Manga Black got outclassed by Vegeta, while the anime version remained the strongest unfused character for the arc (well... minus Trunk's spirit sword and the whole "Saiyans have no limits" bits against Fused Zamasu). Meanwhile Future Zamasu in the manga was weaker than SSJ Goku, while the anime version was somewhat around SSJ Blue Goku (before they powered up over the arc). It makes sense why Manga Fused Zamasu was so much weaker.

Btw, in the manga vegito was abusing zamasu. I don’t think zamasu got a single hit on Vegito throughout the whole fight. Nah, I can’t even call it a fight, it was an execution. Too bad the potara couldn’t handle their power cuz they literally unfused in like 2 minutes.

To make more sense of what happened, Trunks was mainly able to keep up with Zamasu at the end because of how weakened he was by Vegito. His last punch literally had Zamasu’s face turning into smoke. In terms of how long Vegito lasted though, the manga version implies that it was 40 minutes. Dragon Ball time vs screen time is weird lol

They nerfed Vegito so hard and tried to make the fight look cool In the manga, Vegito was destroying Zamasu, even a weakened base Vegito totally wrecked fused Zamasu. His final kamehameha would’ve most likely also killed him in the manga, but in the anime it did nothing

I think people underestimated Merged Zamasu too much, while he do take couple of hit from goku and vegeta, he is indeed a merged being of Goku black and Zamasu(far stronger version of zamasu that can even stand up to ssb and rage trunks), i do think its fair they can stand up to Vegito blue.

Merged Zamasu could be unstoppable. But he had 2 mistakes. Transfotmation does not go down when it was done before fusion. And such heavy draining transformation like Rose usually would drain time heavily. But Merged Zamasu was eternal fusion, thus, he had pressure above own body that could not be calmed. Regeneration could save it, but damage he took from saiyans + own power ups to keep up made his body distorted from immense damage it was trying to recover. Plus regeneration wasnt perfect.

That attack was the spirit bomb. It wasnt a random technique thrown in there it was one that was already established. Trunks was just randomly able to learn it. It's a perfectly fine retcon honestly. Nothing wrong with it. Perfectly explains why Vegito unfuses when he gets absorbed by Majin Buu. Let's be honest, if they didn't retcon it, we'd probably never see Vegito again, because they would never be able to unfuse, and therefor would never fuse to begin with. Is that what you want?
