This is the perfect video for someone considering getting a new or replacement electric scooter with a little more kick! I have a Vsett 10+ like the one mentioned in this video and it's a lot of fun, and not outrageously priced. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something even in the $2,000+ price range.

@A Bachelor's Life I positioned the throttle and brake lever as close as possible and it doesn't bother me. Nutt brakes might have less spacing than Zoom brakes, and the finger throttle took me some getting used to, but Alien Rides has an upgraded throttle coming in 2023 that might be better.
@GeeboysProductions2 жыл бұрын
@A Bachelor's Life You're welcome! I have a lot of fun with mine. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all. If the trigger throttle is the worst thing, which can be subjective and a matter of opinion, at least they have replacement/upgraded triggers out there if you find the original one too uncomfortable. All in all, I wouldn't let the throttle deter you - it's a common one across many platforms and easily replaceable. The Vsett10+ is quick and smooth to ride. Good luck on your hunt for an electric scooter that fits your needs!

@A Bachelor's Life I'm not too familiar with a local shop that fixes scooters either, but it will help to have some basic hand tools available (example: wrench, screwdriver, tire pump, thread lock, allen keys). A lot of parts are covered under warranty and the seller should have a phone number you can call for support too.

We have yet to buy our first scooters but are excited to make the leap in 2023 when we move to Arizona. You do an excellent job of comparing the features and tradeoffs with each scooter and provide a great balance between the level of detail provided and how best to make price decisions! I really like how you compare each new scooter with others in the same category.

I'm in Arizona and in September I sold my car and bought a scooter. I'm tired of gas prices and insurance. I calculated that ill be saving over $3000 dollars a year be being able to drop my insurance and stop paying for gas, let alone any maintenance costs that might come up as well that could potentially cost thousands of dollars. I started out with the NIU KQI2 but within a month I already wanted to upgrade because once it got to like 90% battery it wouldn't hit top speed. And after a week of riding, the top speed felt too slow to justify using a scooter over just walking to work instead since work is only a mile away for me. So I got an apollo explore on black Friday and I'm in love with it. It's the perfect commuter. Whats great about Arizona is that there aren't a lot of people on scooters right now, at least in North Phoenix, since all the scooter rental programs are geolocked to Tempe right now. Most of the time I have bike lanes to myself. I don't need to wait for red lights. I can take bike trails if I didn't wanna ride in the street to get around. Imagine a traffic-less commute every single day. That's what it's like having a scooter as your primary commuter in Phoenix right now. If I were to upgrade my apollo explore, I would really only be looking at dualtron or vsett scooters. My battery life / range / speed is more than enough for me right now but 28 mile tested range can definitely be bumped up at some point in the future. Maybe the emove cruiser but I don't really like the look of it. But I havent needed more than 20 miles in a single commute so far so right now my apollo explore is perfect for me. Have yet to get a flat tire on it either. Word of caution: drive very defensively. Arizona drivers completely block scooter/bike/motorcycle riders out of their vision for some reason. I haven't had any issues yet but that's because I'm aware of everything and just assume everyone wants to hit me intentionally.

I'm not sure if it's available in the US.. But the Teverun Fighter 11+ IMO is the best $2,000 E Scooter I've seen so far, and I have been comparing a whole bunch of $2,000 E Scooters for almost half a year now before I bought my Teverun Fighter 11+ so I know what I'm talking about.. The specs and features are almost unmatched in its price class.. 2000W Dual Motors with 5000W Peak Sine Wave Controllers 60V 35Ah LG Cells Dual Hydraulic Disc Brakes C Type Front and Rear Hydraulic Suspensions with Adjustable Rebound 5 inch TFT Color Display 11 inch Pneumatic Tires Adjustable Steering Damper 2,200 Lumen Headlight along with a decently visible Brake Light and Turn Signals The only flaws I've found on the 11+ is the very weak horn and the handlebars can't be locked when folded.. But then again, a lot of other $2,000 E Scooters don't even have horns and considering how heavy these $2,000 E Scooters are, I don't think a lot of people are actually folding these up and lifting them to places.. The closest competitor I've found that compares to the Teverun Fighter 11+ is the newly released Nanrobot N6.. But the N6 only has 10 inch Pneumatic Tires, a smaller 60V 22Ah LG Battery, no Steering Damper, an almost useless 250 Lumen Headlight and is $100 more expensive than the 11+..

I have the Evolv Terra which is just a clone or rebranded variant. That scooter is the best balance for a portable scooter. Not too heavy to carry with two hands. Very compact to fit into a trunk or under a desk. Very good suspension to lessen solid tire absorbing shocks. Pretty smooth start and some of the best speeds for a solid tire scooter. With me it goes 28mph. Was so impressed with it, I have a hero x8 coming in a few days. The hero x8 had stopped being manufactured and sold from most distributors. So I feel lucky to have two solid tire compact speedy scooters.
