How will the electric Grid handle all the additional vehicles and still take care of commercial and residential strains?

I think the only reason Oil companies aren't ripping us off for $4 a gallon or more is because of electric cars. If the price goes up enough it'll drive sales of EV up. Battery tech just keeps getting better but I think it'll be another 10 to 20 years before EV takes over. Being able to drive anywhere and fill up in 2 minutes and drive on is a big advantage.

@@eastexotic Not that a hybrid isn't awesome, but I think that those higher used car prices might have something to do with supply chain and semi-conductor shortages. I'm amazed that Toyota is letting the other car makers, including Nissan, beat them to electrification despite it being the future; No doubt.

A hybrid car has both a gasoline engine and an electric engine . The chance of one of these 2 engines go wrong is double the chance of a single-engine car goes wrong !

Seriously 🤦🏻 when the hell did just under 40k become cheap on a short term loan? Give me a break. Slash those prices in half and then maybe the average Jo can afford these cars.

Hooray for more EVs! The EV market just got better and good for the consumers as they have more choices and prices are also priced more reasonable. I've been a Tesla EV fan for a long time even though many ICE manufacturers did their best to thumb down disruptive technology EVs but now they're scared for their life as clean and green EVs are gaining popularity all over the world and soon ICE vehicles will be like dinosaurs. Many big car companies are now gearing up to produce and compete in the EV market as some seem to be waving the white flag and are now rushing to develop their own EVs. How well their product will succeed in popularity/sales will be a test in time as Tesla has a huge leap ahead of them but we'll see. But keep it coming so prices will go down as quality improves, that's when I buy one. Lol 😂

Where do you find charging stations in the coal region? I put on a lot of miles and it’s much easier getting gas in like 4-5 minutes compared to 54 minutes waiting for a charge. And I haven’t seen any charging stations around here. That’s ridiculous and still too expensive.

If you have to charge the car during the day then an EV isn't for you. It's really that simple. For someone that commutes and drives less than 150 or so miles a day then an EV can be great. Put a 240V charger in your garage and when you get home plug in your vehicle. It'll charge while you're sleeping and in the morning it's ready to go again. It will save thousands of dollars a year in gas for most people. Something like a Model 3 Tesla can operate for less than 4 cents a mile. If you want to go on a long trip then there are stations available but personally I'd keep a gas powered car for a while. In 10 years or so I suspect charger availability will be much better but it's sparse away from the big city.

@@ninline2000 : If you use your electric car away from big cities and runs nearly out of ( electrical ) charge , you can stop by any house along the road , flash a big smile , then ask to charge an emergency amount from its household electricity ( and pays generously for it ) ! And if you're still single , you might even meet an attractive girl ( or guy ) of that house !

My God! The 2022 Nissan Ariya to cost just $40K? I would still buy it even it costs $80K. Can't wait to have my hands on it when it arrives to the US. 😍🥰🥳
