One thing to consider is offroad/trails - as mentioned by WW, those Tesla low pedals could be a downer. If you sticking to just pavement and concrete the Tesla is nice but you also might scrape the pedals in sharp turns. I wanted an allrounder so I went with the V10F. At 200lbs it is working very good but I am now looking for a little more WH(larger battery) and low end torque/Power. I want more WH as I ride well into the fall and early spring and when the battery gets cold it goes down fast. I want more Torque/Power as i am finding at the skate park i have to have some speed to make it up the ramps. if I try to power up a ramp from right in front of it does not have the low end torque to make it all the way but no problem with it it with a little speed. I only started riding in Sept but from what I have learned, now I would have purchased the GW MSP had it been available as I am really liking the trails and that extra low end power will get you over many obstacles. That not being available I think maybe I would have gone with the GW MSX 100v Best wishes in your new wheel -- you will love it no matter what you get. Cheers

I have an Inmotion V8 it's my first EUC. And I have to tell this: It's the best unysicle for the beginners.Already four people learned from zero how to ride on my V8. I own a 3yo Gotway TESLA (3rd Gen.) It has a 1500wh battery. The 1st edition had a 1020wh battery, 2nd factory Mod had a 1480wh battery & finally mine came w/ a 1500wh battery. I haven't taken it apart yet but I suspect my batteries aren't any larger or numerous but perhaps my BMS is different? I enjoy it a lot but the pedals have scraped enough to throw me off. Plus I started riding @ 70yo. Maybe were I younger I might have been able to recover faster. Anyway just an anonymous. Another thing is I think you are correct about EUC manufacturer making the "bikes" too fast & too $$$. I don't have a solution to this but making them faster & more $$$ doesn't promote the hobby. Maybe discovering a way to make them more affordable for the "masses" might a step in the right direction.

My first wheel was a MCM5. I still have it and love it. It's super durable, very torquey, and climbs hills effortlessly. It's just below a long distance cruiser. My next wheel will be 16" at least and at least 30mph.

Good presentation! Excellent information for the beginner to make a reasoned choice. I started with the V5F and this baby was cheap enough to learn all the important skills on, stood up to the punishment of multiple scrapes, drops and crashes in the process and never missed a beat all this time. An important bonus was that all the damageable parts, like the shell, footplates and trolley handle are replaceable, so once I'd bought a second EUC, I was able to restore my beloved V5F to almost new condition! Oh, and it's worth mentioning that those Inmotion jackets that you can buy to fit their V5 thru V10F range are well worth the money if you like to keep your precious investment looking nice for as long as possible.

I calculate the battery storage to power ratio. Battery/power. The higher the value the better. When accelerating or breaking, the batteries must be able to store the energy. The average seems to be around 0.7 (dimensionless units) Further, I would like to see the efficiency (mu) of the regeneration.

Bought a used KS14-S for 450€ with 840Wh battery. While it only goes 30 km/h, its 800w motor (2200w peak) feels very lively and at 178cm for 81kgs it feels absolutely adequate. Plus the range is insane, I can ride around 60kms before it feels sluggish.

It’s quite amazing this is from 4 years ago. How it has changed and stayed the same. But be it this far into the future. You can find an INMOTION V5 for 399.00. As it is very beginner it still runs at start 12klm and can be raised later and rides as long as 30/40 miles… I had 6 surgeries on my legs this last summer… so it took me longer to learn (2 months) but I did self created muscle and workout and ride boot camp… which now, I am riding a INMOTION v12 pro like a champ because of it. My V5 still runs and looks good regardless and yes. It took so very much damage, I was suprised. I will still jump on to run to the store cause I just put a helmet on and it’s light and easy. That and going through neighborhoods with children, the speed is just fine running to the store. But 399.00 was a steal for dang sure.

Kingsong s18 was my first and I would definatly have regretted getting a slower EUC... waste of money getting less as I would have outgrown it within a week. Plus less powerful is more likely to tilt and cut off at higher speeds so are more dangerous.

@monowheeling4 жыл бұрын
I own the V8 and the V8F. To me, the upgrade was definitely worth 200 Euros even though it seems very incremental. Larger and better pedals (unless they break, I hold my breath), considerably better (and larger) stock tire, (much) better light, (much) better padding, 20% stronger motor, 10% larger battery, variable riding modes. The downside is ~1.3kg of added weight. The V8 is a very good wheel, yet, it's almost like InMotion fixed all its small but annoying little defects that I could have possibly asked them to fix.

I know that I'm replying to a 4 year old video, but I'm really thinking about going in on a V14. Mostly due to the slightly improved waterproof rating compared to the others in the same price bracket. Do NOT set tiltback at 48km/h on the Tesla (for sure not if you weigh 9⁵+ kg as that will be super close to the cutout speed even with battery fully charged). It takes a good 7km/h+ in time before it actually tilt enough to slow you down if leaning in fairly hard, not pro hard but accelerate fairly well. Also if battery is at 30% and you have tiltback at 48km/h and lean to accel to that speed its gonna cutout no questions asked. ;-) did they tilt pedals on tesla v2? Mine (v1.2) were flat as f...and i tilted them to extreme and now trails are a a breeze. Don't buy a low spec EUC, buy one you think you can evolve on. High speed riding Sherman, msp speed or mss100v, trails msp, commuting & fast turning wheel and fairly long dist riding Tesla aso. Thank me later, the wheel will last you 3-4years instead of getting bored after 1_2years

No KingSong wheel. At least KS16S with 840wh. For the performance ok but for the quality better than gotway. I agree v5f is a super affordable wheel and amazing freestyling. The Tesla with the custom 1.4kwh battery is a huge improvement over the ks16s but I own a KS18XL already. And had less torque than ks16s. But riding at 45km/h on a 16 inches wheel could be cool because ks16s tops at 35 km/h. Tesla with custom 1.4kwh is at 1080e which is a steal on AliExpress. And I found my 18xl at 1460e on AliExpress also, which is also a steal for the quality and confort. Thx for the video.

They should realistically do more research into wheel size and make one a universal standard. 16 inch for example across the board would make for universal replacement of inner tubes and tyres and who knows might be the goldilocks size in terms of small enough for quick acceleration and agility and still big enough for covering alot of ground and dealing with potholes and curbs. Wrong way what's your thoughts on this? Could put it into a video? Thanks

I have some doubt if EUCs are even worth the cost. A good quality bicycle costs around 150-200 dollars, a thousand dollars if you're gonna go professional, where even a "cheap" (if you can call it that) unicycle can cost around 500 dollars. I think I might be better off with a bicycle. All in all, I'm probably gonna buy a used EUC or wait till they get cheaper.

v10 wazy 20.6kg a Tesla 18.8kg. Do tego tesla spokojnie na pełnej baterii ponad 50km/h jedzie.

What happened to it? You said it lasted 2 years. I expected it to last more and why not? Battery could be replaced and so does the tire so what can break is the motor or motherboard.. Curios what happened to yours

I think you should include the Mten3 in the $1000 category, small wheel, but not hard to use and great deal of fun!

Almost converting me with some of those specs, weight is a big issue see, the downfall of living in a top floor flat, That got no lifts, Do you know of any handles i could put on my scooter too help with the lift, I can handle the weight, (sort of lol), but it is the awkwardness of getting it round corners on steps, Some one needs to invent a tool too help get the electric scooters up steps, lol, I would buy one, I was looking for a house too rent but this virus have put a pause on that, Have you got any advise on easier ways too get electric scooters up stairs, lol, Prob the daftest question i could ask you, But a relevant one in the scooter world, I mean it is a reason too buy PEV transport right, If you got issues walking from disability or can't walk far but can stand PEV transport is perfect for these people, But it might scare some people coz of the weight an the issue of steps, surely somebody has created a tool too help get the scooters up steps... But yeah the biggest benefit of electric unicycles is the weight, again informative video mate, It is always nice too know these things with out doing the leg work, (no pun intended there), lol, solid information tho......

@@mad-b264 I only need it for a total of around an hour’s ride a day home-station-office, say 6 miles tops, which uses about 50% of the battery. I have hit 43kmh downhill, but the brakes on the 2019 model mean that you don’t feel safe above about 20mph around London. I’ve added a drum rear brake to make it the equivalent of the 2020 model, but Covid means I haven’t given it a decent test around London yet.

@@davidhumphries3614 Makes sense if you living in London, all that busyness is why I would never live in London, I have family an also worked on tottenem square street, homeless people made me laugh, never a dull moment that's all I can say, they ain t all bad people, but yeah having a fast monster scooter blipping through London city will only attract the police anyways, I been pulled on mine already an I don't really live in a city, They told me they seen me an coz I ain t riding like a lunatic they not taking it off me, So happy days, Laws with PEV are still in grey area the police told me, won't be long till we need too do a test for high powered PEV' s, Police hinted as much too me... I bet it's proper fun blipping through London streets on electric scooter, Best way too sight see, Got idea for You, Set up an electric scooter sight seeing tour, Even gives you social distancing, I think is a good idea, A sight seeing scooter tour, Even got a ring too it, Lol....
