My comment on a previous similar video about why Newton Mail is still included in these kinds of lists was deleted. But I’ll give it another try. Not only has Newton Mail not been maintained for years, but the service was also permanently discontinued as of July 31st this year, as stated on the site.

@@toolfinderhq I understand. But Newton has been a scam the last years. It kept charging money for a product that wasn't working anymore. And customers where unable to cancel. It's not the kind of service to promote in a video.

@ Years ago Newton had no way to cancel my subscription. Been with them since they first came out under a different name. Had to contact the CC to ban their renewals.

Apple email does not work well. Emails disappear. Emails in threads are hard to find and turning off this poorly implemented feature does not work properly

I’ve been 2 years with superhuman and love it. However I’m not sure if it’s worth the pay. Which would you say is best alternative? Perhaps spark? Or you suggest sticking with SH? I like to have smart folders, keyboard shortcut's for everything and good ios apps with macOS and would love to have a good UI simple one and modern one

I am someone who uses Missive but not for teams. The automations are key and using zapper and Make I have my work emails going into notion with bidirectional links (I stick the notion link in the comments and on the notion side I have a dedicated property that links straight to the missive conversation.)

You missed the mark here pretty badly by not mentioning Shortwave. With price increases to Superhuman...Shortwave has all the same features in a cheaper and more comprehensive solution. The team over there is hungry and continually adding useful features (all while listening to their user base). Its very easily the best or nearly the best when compared to the others on this list.

Had a look at that - but singe they are all about AI then privacy takes a back set - a quick read of their privacy statement like pretty much all the E-mail services mentioned here is about the same: You give them the right to read sell and share all your personal data with who ever they choose : "Vendors and Service Providers: To assist us in meeting business operations needs and to perform certain services and functions, we may share Personal Data with vendors and service providers" It's a pretty standard entry but one that none of us should accept as normal tbh but can do little about

Seriously all paid apps and you keep dipping into AI.. 1 don’t need tons of $$ rolling out the door and 2 most folks do not want AI so please start focusing on what people want.

Spark, Missive, Mailspring, Canary - all have free plans. The issue with Mac mostly is there aren't too many non-paid tools, that people can use as robust options.

I find the AI quality of Canary Mail is not even close to the AI of Spark. The emails do not sound nearly as they were written by me, and the summaries aren't good most of the time. In Spark Mail the summaries can be selected as "short", "detailed" and "listed" so you always get what you want and the emails written by the AI sound a lot like I've written them myself.

Spark had very good approaches to v2, I find v3 „laggy“ and Google labels are no longer adequately supported. In addition, Canary has a lifetime option with AI, with Spark there is only one subscription. Whereby I myself have deactivated AI at Canary except for „summary“ and „writing“ for data protection reasons and only use both functions in individual cases.
