I’ve also used prickly pear and it’s amazing! It’s more expensive, and I’ve used up my current supply, but think I may get some more. Thanks for an informative video Christy!!

Jojoba oil is actually a wax and not a oil. It is great for oily skin and acne prone skin (while not having active acne lesions) . It also has a lot longer shelf life. HOWEVER, while still low on the comedogenic scale, it still was slightly higher than the other oils AND ranked lower for anti oxidants, anti inflammatory properties, other benefits. In my video, I discuss how I evaluated the oils and why I chose the oils I did. Thanks for your input! ; )

Dear Christy. I am wondering why my skin at times feels as though it cant absorb oils? It has always been like this. I have a dry-ish skin, so it needs the mositure / hydration. I have only really begun to use proper skincare products the past year and my skin feels really good. Im loving paying attention to my skin. Ive been blessed with good skin and it has only begun aging a tiny bit the past few years after I turned 40, as I had a severe traffic accident, due to shock / trauma, anaesthesia, antibiotics, 30 surgeries and morphine. I know all that is not good for skin. Prior to this I had the skin of a 20 year old for some odd reason. I am now 43 years old. I dont have any issues with break outs.

Thank you for your amazing videos! Which natural oils would you say are best regardless of price/how easily one can find them? Because those factors change from country to country. I have very sensitive and acne prone skin, that is starting to age. I tend to not be able to use almost any store bought products, even hypoallergenic products. I have found one product containing water, beeswax, sweet almond oil, honey, propolis, neroli oil and neem seed oil that I am doing almost ok with it although at one point I was having problems with it (i add in rosehip oil sometimes and argan oil, argan oil has not given problems so far!). Is a cream like this good enough for hydration/aging/etc? For 32 year old skin. Please help!
@GoSeeChristy4 жыл бұрын
If you see an increase in red bumps or pustules, please stop oil altogether until the pimples go away. This shows that there is an increase of the acne causing bacteria P. Acne bacterium. This bacteria feeds off the fatty acids and sugar in oil. You may want to try oils that are closer to the sebum we make such as jojoba oil.

Thanks again for the info. There are so many wonderful oils and serums that we tend to want to ply them onto our skin in a rather haphazard fashion. Maybe you could consider a video about how and when to mix/layer oils and serums and how to develop a skin care routine that allows us to use many products as we like without diluting or over treating skin. As with your advice about when to apply toner, it seems to be the order/frequency in which these products are applied that makes more of a difference than which ones we use, looking at overall results.

Hi Cristy! Is virgin coconut oil not an advisable facial oil...studies show it increases collagen...it seem to work for me. My mom,drinks a few teaspoons daily for inner health she said. Is this really a good.oil inside.out?
@GoSeeChristy4 жыл бұрын
Coconut oil for some skin types tends to clog pore over time and can increase break outs for some people. Can you include in the link the study? I have never heard of an actual oil stimulating the fibroblast to create new collagen. Coconut oil has both medium and long chain fatty acids to in moderate amounts, is it not bad unless your mother has a cholesterol issue.

Thanks, I gotta try sea buckthorn and prickly pear! What do you think of cucumber seed oil? I found a nice one that seems to help with inflammation. I also use squalane oil from olives. I’ve read mixed reviews on saturated vs unsaturated oils on your skin. The unsaturated tend to have more antioxidants but the saturated are supposed to not oxidize as easily on your skin. Also curious on your thoughts about adding essential oils to these. Really love how informative your videos are, thanks!
@GoSeeChristy5 жыл бұрын
Hi Holly, thank you for watching my videos and offering your feedback! 😉. I dont have much experience with cucumber seed oil so I can’t offer any feedback on that one. I am glad you ate liking it. Everyone has such different responses with their skin so I had three options with the widest range of benefits for the most varied akin types. This by all means doesn’t mean there aren’t other ones. 😉. Essential oils can be beneficial for some skin types. For examlple, Lavender is good to reduce inflammation but some sensitive skin types will react to any essential oil. Other may respond better to hydrosols vs essential oils. I personally love essential oils but my skin will react to Tea Tree oil. Essentials can be highly beneficial but for others highly sensitizing.

In the meantime, I’m going to try the Seabuckthorn oil for the antioxidants and omega fatty acids useful for dry skin. Christy-Do we need the type that has the Total CO2 extract? I’m also asking what oil to use with Seabuckthorn to make it more spreadable and not so thick?

Try using a lighter oil that mimics human sebum such as jojoba oil.

I love the way you explained the difference in oleic acid and linoleic acid. You gave so much value here Using oils that clog pores esp in those with oily skin has been linkedti cancer hence one should use the oils with low skin clogging potentials. I love your recommendations

Is there any information on the combination of oils and acids? I.E...HCA and Essential or Carrier oils. I have not found much.
@GoSeeChristy4 жыл бұрын
Hi Kelly, thank you so much for watching. This depends on whether the acid based product is lipid based or water based.

Thank you for taking effort to check out 79 oils! !! I would like to know how beneficial is turmeric oil for acene prone skin. Here, in India, turmeric is must essential in beauty products.

If you have break out prone skin, I would avoid oil during an active break out. I would stick to water dispersible oil such as greapeseed oil or jojoba oil.

Hi! I am so happy i found your videos! Thank you SO much! 💛💖 I have three questions. What is your thoughts about rosehip oil? And do i need to wear sunscreen because of it's vitamin a? I think you said in a video that it's not good to mix vitamin c and vitamin a (?) - but when it is bouth vitamins in an oil is it okey?
@GoSeeChristy4 жыл бұрын
rosehip oil is better suited for dry aging skin. Yes. It is ok if they are not high percentages and this was referring more to the Tretinoin vs Retinyl Palmitate and L-Ascorbic acid vs vs the vitamin c derivative. you were listening!

Thank you very much for the info Christy! But, were's coconut oil?? It is not that good for our skin??
@GoSeeChristy5 жыл бұрын
Hi Geova, thank you for watching. It is not that coconut oil is not good . I was looking for oils that rated very low on the comedogenic scale, and at the same time had the right amount of beneficial fatty acids for the skin, high amount of antioxidants AND both oily skin, and dry skin types could use it.

Go See Christy And despite the price, the oils that you talked about in the vidro are better than coconut oil?
@yenth865 жыл бұрын
Coconut oil is comedogenic. I tend to have breakout every time I use it. I prefer jojoba oil.
