what I learned from Mike's South Korea vids: they love 1) cheese on anything and everything 2)spice! 3) scissors 4) metal chopsticks? Loved every single one of these videos from Korea. I hope you know you make days so much better for us with your happiness and joy for food. I never sit down to a meal without one of your videos playing. What Asian dramas and anime is to you while eating food, you videos are to me-- a must during meals!

metal chopsticks have always been used in modern korean times. traditionally we used wooden ones, but metal is easy to clean and pick up meat. there are not any confirmed reasons why there was a switch from wooden to metal, but some speculate it was because for nobles, the metal would change color to detect if their food had been poisoned. Another reason is Korean cooking uses a lot of sauces (specifically red) that easily stains wooden chopsticks, so metal ones are preferred :)
