It's already been deep diving jerkbait, blade bait, and jigging spoon time here in North GA, water temp 50

Lol in Alaska. Hmm 🤔 jigging raps, Spoons. Lol there was a story of a lake in Anchorage that someone actually caught a Bass. ADFG went into kill mode. Oh it was Sand lake. A small private lake I don’t know exactly what happened to that , but I’m sure they wiped them out.

I like a bluegill pattern rattletrap when they're on a shad bite..I like the subtle flash of the bluegill patterned rattletrap even when they're on shad,because the paint job hides the flash somewhat,but not too much..Deadly on Dale Hollow,in the fall,when there's alittle stain on the water!(I'm not alone on this)

I caught a bunch on the Tennessee River using a weightless worm around grass.
@knightmarefishing3 жыл бұрын
Killer in that grass on Chick, Guntersville, and Nickajack. Any stump, grass mat, rock, or brush pile......weightless lol. What you throw around docks tho? I like running a spinner down em or buzz if time is right.
@cross_fire_3 жыл бұрын
@@knightmarefishing we were on Wheeler and I threw a jerk bait without much action, spinner bait caught a few but that slow presentation with the trick worm was catching them almost back to back and it was Thursday when the front came through so they were very active and most had shad in their throats. No smallies, seems like I only catch them in the summer on the rock bluffs.
@knightmarefishing3 жыл бұрын
@@cross_fire_ weightless plastic slays em. Talking about slower presentation....try a buzz or spinner without a trailer sometimes. You can reel them slower and they still run right. Get some of the slower fish. Just something to try. Never fished Wheeler tho.

Scott, a lot of great information in this video. My boat is down right now so I'm fishing from shore. I have been catching bass out back on a Berkley maxcent flat worm. I live on a power plant lake so the temperature is not as cold as other lakes in the area. Best of luck at the classic this year.🎣🐟

idk about adding heavier hooks but i guess if you add the right weight split shot say a foot above the jerk bait it will help it sink slow at a proper angle and then you can twitch or retreive it up and let it fall down again
