I have the Walkee H9, which I bought during the Christmas special for under 2k. Sure some parts are cheaply made but are easily swapped out. It folds and has a 60Ah Rear Battery and 22Ah Front Battery, which in total is 82Ah / 3936Wh Ultra Capacity ... the range is crazy. It's AWD with two hub motors, 1000 Watt (Peak 1600 Watt) Rear-Mounted, 1000 Watt (Peak 1600 Watt) Front-Mounted and you can choose front, rear or AWD. Also, the battery and entire electrical stayem is TUV certified which is the Uraopean standard of what UL 2849 and CE certication is here in the U.S.A.

I like your format of pros and cons for each, especially your calling out the style of assist (current or speed for cadence sensor models), which almost no other reviewers do. I also appreciate your requiring UL certification as folding models appeal to people living in apartments as well as those who use them for travel. Some cities are starting to ban non-UL certified models, and even in places that don’t, some landlords are starting to ban e-bikes due to fire concerns caused by poor quality models and liability concerns. Having UL certification may help in those situations as some insurers rely on Underwriters Laboratories certifications for their calculations. I compared a lot of these against each other to find a replacement for my MATE City S, which didn’t provide enough help on steeper hills I sometimes ride. I decided on the Portola with the 13.4Ah battery. I would have preferred a torque sensor, but I didn’t want 4in tires and wanted a suspension fork. The current-style PAS is good enough. I definitely did not want a speed-style PAS. I added a 90mm rise bar for an upright posture, shorter cranks for my bad knee, and use a linkage-style suspension seatpost I share across bikes. It’s a bummer I missed out on the full UL 2849 certification though, as it was only recently certified by TUV testing labs. At least the battery has UL 2271 from SGS labs.

I didn't see any reviews provided during cold/snowy days. Which would work better for commuting during cold/snowy days?

Usually wider 3-4" tires. Run the pressure down if needed, studs if you're really going for it and watch out for ice! Battery covers can help prolong range and extra lights for visibility!

Folding bikes are good if you dont want a bike rack on your vehicle all the time. Thats about all i can say.
