As someone who played through the game already. I would recommend doing Ratika next. There are certain story elements early on that are easy to skip, and Ratika's story changes drastically after you uncover certain clues and you can't go back.

I like the fact you are here to save the world so its like you will fight whoever you need to fight. I mean it seems like the Emperor is at fault but I think the story is better than "Big group is bad and rebels are good because underdogs". There are true stakes and while you are traveling back in time you are here to do your job period. Im always a fan of that concept.
