It's a game from the 90s but it's really good. It's called gamgeters: organized crime. You start off as a small gang and build up your crew. You can extort businesses, blow up buildings, kill people etc. You can set up businesses as fronts too. Like you can run a legal hotel but have a brothel in the back. It's a game that was way ahead of its time.

Just got a copy of The Godfather 2 and it’s easily top 5 best crime themed games ever and arguably the best mafia open world game. The ability to recruit soldiers with unique abilities and send them out to take over territories or have them act as personal bodyguards and customize them makes you actually feel like a mafia boss. Most mafia or crime themed games make you do everything alone which is fun, but it doesn’t make you feel like a powerful boss. More like a soldier and that’s not what I personally want in a game where I’m suppose to be a boss.
