You are so beautiful and I wish to have the color of your hair because I do have long straight hair but is black with a little of gray hair. I decided to go gray with some highlights to blend the gray but I had really bad luck with the hairdressers. They didn’t do what I ask for, very expensive and I’m not even close of achieving what I want and on top of that my hair is already damaged.

😢Hello. I have not colored my hair since December 2019. I have been cutting off the honey brown color ever since. Last night, I cut off what remained of the brown ends. I have some salt and pepper and some white. Not even gray, white, especially at the top of my head and the front of my head. I can't wait for it all to be white/silver. Lol! My, your hair is so beautiful and graceful. You are delightful! I recently became aware of how gray hair can turn yellow with time. I can't tell if mine is yellowish because it probably has happened slowly over time. This is why I am exploring this subject. I have a question for you, my dear, or anyone with experience with caring for silver/white hair. Namely, why are you not supposed to put the purple shampoo or conditioner at the roots of the hair, only halfway down to the tips?
@roxmod8 ай бұрын
Hi! Great question you had about why we are supposed to put purple shampoo on the lower half of grey hair. That's because the tips are older, more porous and have absorbed more environmental pollutants, more hair products, more smoke, etc. than the newer hair at the roots causing the older hair to turn yellow.

Your hair looks wonderful - thanx a lot for sharing your preferred products ❤️ I ditched the dye 1 1/2 years ago and did it all natural (cold turkey) from brown to my natural white-silver. I am so happy with my decision, although I had no idea about the „yellowing“ of white hair...This is the only part of the whole process, where I had to learn a lot and still I am totally interested in the solutions of other silver sisters. I use Paul Mitchel platin blonde shampoo + conditioner twice a month - it does a good job and my hair is not dry at all after using. I adore Marula Oil mask - perhaps you know it? I send you a lot of greetings from the South of Germany, Yvonne 🌺

Thanks for this tip. Fortunately, the oil hasn't yellowed my hair. Because it's oil, I use a few drops at a time. Maybe because it's such a little amount it won't effect the gray hair color.

Hello, new suscriber from Switzerland 🇨🇭. Thanks for sharing your precious tips. Doesn’t Olaplex oil make hair yellow?
@roxmod8 ай бұрын
Hello from Switzerland!! I can understand your question because the Olaplex oil is yellow. I can say that I have been using this product for a long time (I love how it conditions) and have not noticed any yellowing from this product. Possibly the reason is because you use only a few drops at a time. Thanks for subscribing!

I will suggest you also wash your grey hair With a detox shampoo once every week in case you use haircare a bit too much! Depending on your life style y’all . Don’t forget that hair is a recevoir of pollution of any sort either in or out. In my opinion her hair looks DULL lifeless mid shaft to end bc it needs a good detox to remove all that build up of frequent products use. So detox it and use that hair mask right after so it stays nourished and full of life. Those are my fav products btw.
@roxmod3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you're absolutely right. Hair needs a good detox on a regular basis. Since I made this video I discovered that using a homemade mixture of apple cider vinegar and water helps to remove build up on hair and it really worked well for me. I posted about it on my Instagram account. Thanks for your comment!

@dheyes8032 ай бұрын
Spritz low volume hydrogen peroxide on your dry hair (10-20% leaving it on your hair about 5 minutes) prior to washing followed by using a clear or white shampoo and clear or white moisturizing conditioner helps to gradually remove the yellow tinge from your hair. Adjust accordingly if you experience dryness. Good luck.

Fantastic! Interested to know what might be best for transitioning hair since the brightener for the grey might not play nicely with the old color (especially a darker one) that still covers about 70% of my head!
@roxmod4 жыл бұрын
Hi Robin, Great question! Regular shampoo will work just fine on new growth gray hair. It's when the gray hair has grown out that it'll most likely need purple shampoo and that's because over time gray hair is affected by the elements and oxidizes, which turns the color brassy. So, as you transition, stick with the regular shampoo, at least for a long while! I hope this helps. xoox

I have just come across your video and I have a question please. I also don't like to wash my hair often, once a week unless it really requires more. My question is about all the conditioners you mentioned. When and how often would you use them all? Of course I understand the Kerastase shamp/conditioner on wash day but the others? Thank you.
@roxmod3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jamie, Thanks for asking. The leave-in conditioners I like to use nearly everyday, even if it's just a little bit. My hair will absorb it so it won't get too heavy or dirty after a few days of using. Let me know if this answers your question. :-)
