Definitely the route I want to go when I get my new road glide. You mentioned how the rotating mass being lighter makes a big difference, but you didn’t mention that it’s also because it’s unsprung weight so in any type of automotive or motorcycle chassis design, you have sprung weight and unsprung weight and your wheels are unsprung weight as well as rotating mass. So it is literally the best place to take a weight out of a motorcycle or a car

hey John, I also have a 107, stage 2 running the 30 / 30 cam and I was always curious how you managed to obtain such great dyno numbers from Dave's shop with just a 475 lift? I may not be accurate here, but, I believe you were around 119 HP and 127TQ , which was amazing for just a stage 2, then, in your recent video, the guy at Lowered put your bike on the dyno and came up with 100HP and 103TQ, that's just such a huge difference from Dave's numbers / dyno, any thoughts on such a huge discrepancy? thanks in advance and ride safe!!

Hey, thanks for the comment, so by Dave I got one 117 hp 116 torque ‘s, and I believe by Get Lowered was 102 hp and 108 torque as far as why the discrepancy I really don’t know, but what I can tell you is every Dyno reads differently, and possibly the weather conditions meaning temperature

those T Bars haver a lot to do with it.. I got them same set up. those T Bars make it feel 25 pounds lighter. and it makes it handle 100 x better. im sure wheel helps but dont dismiss those bars and risers

FINALLY!!!! I have tried to explain to all the IDIOTS who have done FAT TIRE KITS who say their bikes handle better that LAWS OF PHYSICS says there is NO WAY that its possible for a wheel that is EVEN HEAVIER is going to handle better simply due to gyroscopic effect and centrifical force. I have told NUMEROUS people to grab a bicycle wheel, spin it in your hand, and then try and turn it like a motorcycle front end and feel the resistance.....then ask yourself what happens when you increase that force by 30% by putting 30 percent more wheel and tire on it..... I wish you lived closer John...as I have a Ducati Streetfighter SP....basically same as the one you had, but carbon wheels and a dry clutch....its literally INSANE. Now on the brakes on that one....if they swap out that harley master cylinder, your brakes will change by another 30-40%....it makes a HUGE difference. TEH wheels though are by far the biggest differnce, as each pound you save its like saving 4-7 lbs when its rotating masse....its a HUGE difference. You can literally see when you are riding how quickly you are able to get to your lean angle and its practically immediate with ZERO resistence....(I am betting that it also has ceramic bearings as well which also add to the effect....it all adds up VERY quickly. My setup will hopefully be close to that one some day....I have the ohlins rear, same HPI pipe, TB, Intake, same FLO floorboards and controls, I have PM wheels and fully floating discs but want to get radial brake system soon...(Brembo calipers and master cylinder) and then ohlins cartridges (cant swing 7 grand for the Kraus font end...LOL). Totally forgot I had a wedding I had to goto so I'm not sure if they are up here for that or not but I'd love too check that out if they come close enough to me. We don't have a helmet law in NH but every liberal socialist state surrounding us does, so......I stick to NH..I don't even own a helmet 🤷‍♂️🤣
