that actually makes so much sense no matter the religion, no matter the culture, no matter the civilisation there has always been the concept of death, and so many of them have the same image of them, a tall skeletal figure in a dark robe with a scythe ready to greet them at the end of all things, some show him with massive skeletal wings, others covered in chimes and wards, but always a skeletal human. also mentioning "rusty" being ready to see him again pulled at my heart strings

A Death that is not Malicious, nor overly eager. Why should he be eager? All things come to him in time. He has no reason to be malicious or hateful of those who try to extend their time. It is only ever a temporary reprieve, and of what fun is the game if your opponent can't have victories and gain progress? Death is an incredible motivator. However good or ill that motive ends up being used. Death is universally and absolutely a singular thing for all of humanity and life itself. Death is Fair.

I still view Death as a lavishly dressed Victorian Gentleman of around 40, wearing a top hat, well cut tuxedo with a gilded watch chain attached to a golden pocket watch, luxurious mustache that matches his well-groomed auburn hair and holding a walking cane with a revolver sticking out of his coat pocket (it has Mahogany grip scales and a brazen finish). all in all, I view Death as kindly middle-aged businessman who always makes sure you get where you are going, even if it comes to walking you home in the dead of night

I’ve always been partial to the image of death as Santa Muerte, even though I’m neither Latin American nor Christian. When it seems like there’s nobody in life you can reach out to, she’s always there, and never turns anyone away. I picture Santa Muerte as a heavyset woman in her early 60s or so who gives ‘wise old aunt’ vibes. She has wrinkles that show a habitual smile, and eyes that see through anyone’s BS. Always well-dressed, even when it’s in a casual style. She often lounges around with a cocktail and/or blunt.

Well DUH! Our Father and our spur. We seek the stars to escape Him, we created a civilisation to escape Him. We are His true children, where ever we go, there our Father is. Waiting ! He need force none, all are his in the end, time will run out eventually, the multiverse itself will cease. Its tides becalmed at last, its currents still, the very stars extinguished. Entropy will win , it is inevitable. But why fear Him? He is rest, surcease from toil without judgement, He is peace. The needed moment of stillness, of gathering one's self together, of accessing mistakes and lost opportunities. Of exploring paths not taken, of understanding the choices made. All the whys and wherefores that deprive you of rest. All answered at last. Second time around i see this. You trying to tell us something, or ... was your choice guided?
