Welcome to Pursuit Perfect System
In this video is the first if a 2 part series as a pre-cursor to several reviews coming soon for products that have helped elevate the sound quality of my review system to the best its ever been by a country mile. Had such a system in the past. Evcellent Dynaudio speaker, musical fidelity amplification, michell turntable, and Chord DAC with a Meridian CD Drive....well it cost an arm and a leg. Was never satisfied with the sound...never did Music. Now with just a CD player, and an integrated amp, and two stand mount speakers, am way more satisfied. The gist is, at least in my case, simple is best.

Hi, interesting that you had Musical Fidelity amplification. Can you please share your thoughts on that. I'm currently considering whether to buy the MF m6si or Naim Supernait 3. I already have MF m3si but feel that I need to upgrade the amplifier as I've recently upgraded my speakers (PMC 25.26). Thanks!

A lot of people would call this Snake Oil, but to me it makes so much sense to have clean power running through your system. Right now I have slight buzzing coming from two of my SVS Sb 2000 Subs and both sounds are different, I am on the search for good quality sub cables and a power conditioner. Thing is how far does one go money wise to achieve this without getting out of hand, cause I seen this getting addictive and possibly OCD kicking in, By the end the whole house will be full of grounding gear worth more the Hifi itself

You've certainly made a great effort to fine tune the system to your liking.Not making the effort with how a system is set up,especially the loudspeakers and room, can really harm its potential.The performance of some systems at shows have demonstrated this,i feel.Often the rooms are less than ideal at shows,even though the experience over all is a good bit of fun.It would take you some time to create before and after KZbin videos for each tweak?! .Looking forward to part two .Many thanks.

there are 2 huge challenges at shows as well as the rooms - time constraints being a huge one and the challenge of trying to make a hifi sound good for lots of people I believe it's a 1 maybe 2, 3 tops situation as sound varies so much in frequency as you move the listening position. A fun day out to see and hear new things is what they are great for yes :)

The shorting plugs which plug into the unused RCA input sockets are usually just RCA connector plugs which short signal input to ground internally so that the fore mentioned unused RCA input sockets do not pick up unwanted stray noise (via the passive signal circuit) which could possibly be airborne or otherwise - and then being superimposed unto the signal channels you use to actually listen to through the amplifier.

I've watched this video two or three times (thank you for making it) but one thing that has struck me is that you do not seem to use the power conditioners for the amplifier. Is that because you simply ran out of available outlets, or does it sound better plugged straight into the wall? Are the high current conditioned outlets still not "free" enough to provide the amp with the power headroom it needs? I'm asking these questions because power conditioning has been on my potential upgrade list for a while now.

Another excellent video.Clean power and good cabling are essential and your video makes it crystal clear. Amedical analogy is this , if you have bad blood ( power)and an unhealthy vascular system ( cables) it does not matter how healthy your organs ( components) are they will never function properly and will eventually fail.Im also of the view that every music lover must visit as many concert halls ,recording venues as possible and experience different acoustics in order to appreciate the limitations of their own rooms.

Do you work for Isotek or does Isotek sponsor you/provide you with free gear? Seems very much like a commercial. I actually own a pair of their power cables, do like their gear, have heard quite a few of their products and I think it's fair to say that none offer any significant sound differences. At best subtle, and arguably nobody could A/B blind test their range of power cables for example and pick the difference between entry level and above. Doesn't stop me liking their gear, aside from anything they look cool. 🎷🎷🎷

I dont work for anyone in the industry I am independent and noone sponsors any reviews I do. I get sponsors for shows because its costs a lot of money to attend and I have offset that cost. I have been using Isotek products for about 10 years so long before I started reviewing on here. I own several Isotek Power Conditioner products my advice is try the conditioners and or the regenerators in combination with the power cables. I think it's here where their products are excellent and I think you may hear the benefits of the cables easier testing with the conditioners in your system as well

@@PursuitPerfectSystem Thanks for your reply mate. I don't object to any reviewer being sponsored or even paid to review, on the basis there is transparency. Without that any vid is likely nothing more than a scam. Glad to hear where you stand with Isotek it's appreciated. 😎 Perhaps you are right and their power cables work best in conjunction with their conditioners, that said, I don't recall Isotek touting that as a solution (e.g via cable packaging), other than the more of 'our' gear you buy the better!! I will see if I can get a 'conditioner' on loan or return basis. Not very easy to do so out here. Btw, I have seen that entry level (I think it's a conditioner) shown to make a difference. That is..measurements taken from the wall socket with and without. Goes to show 'something' for doubters. Cheers!!!👍🏽

@@nostro1001 There is a noise measuring unit that displays a digital number - that shows there is noise on the mains for sure. What that doesnt show is how that affects sound quality. Sound is measurable and even recordable but measuring sound quality is a little tougher so many factors involved. Power cables dont filter generally they reject more rfi but dont filters what's already there. If whats already there is masking the benefit of the cable that could be the reason your not hearing what the cables are doing. That was my thought process with that suggestion. I dont know what budget you would have I think the Aquarius is a good place to start and a good product to use to test. Isotek do tour a lot doing demos at dealers. Maybe contact them and see if they are doing any in your country anytime this year

This is a very good point you have raised - I didnt explain that clearly in the video That is not an ideal solution as you point out - but it allows the powering of the 2 key critical DAC components in the system from the Isotek Genesis One - so stable 230v current - the generic cables you mentioned are the included power supplies that come with the DAC components. I have toyed with the idea of replacing them for Linear Power supplies and that is something interesting to try at some point. Where the E plugs plugged in and why there? Why not take one apart, a resistor and diode in there probably. Why don't you use your subwoofers in the main system, they should work really well if you get them set up right, I'll get them off the floor for starters put them about the same height as the mid-range drivers and good quality solid stands or three legged stool might work well with some foam isolation between the speaker cabinet and stand, possibly moving them back behind the main speakers. And don't use binding posts for speakers and amps use silver banana plugs at least eliminates electron bounce. Depends what you mean by isolation of the mains! you don't really want it to go back to the fuse box the neutral or Earth. You want to run this separately into a spikes in the garden insuring that the neutral and earth are 40 feet apart minimum, and 60 ft from any electrical pole supplying your electricity or Neighbours. Start off with the Earth that's it easiest 16 mm gauge wire ideally shielded in Steel conduit run to your system making sure you have a good ground spike always check for resistance after installation.

So you went power regenerator route? there is a school of thought that strongly opposes intermingling with power. in my mind, it really does not matter whether it is 240v, 215v, or 220v. there are even amplifiers that will take anything from 100v to 240v. for example, Chord amps, Chord advises to plug their amps and preamps directly to power outlets. it only makes sense. the trend now is to not have anything interfering with power delivery, no caps, no coils, no resistors, nothing. here is a presentation of a power management product that represents this new approach (DR Acoustics Antigone): kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5qcep-Flr96fqc “A cable is a source of potential trouble connecting two other sources of potential trouble.”

OMG 40 percent THD off of those triode amps into those edge of the art kefs. If G.B. had a speaker welfare agency, it ought to take those precious babies away from you and put them in a more deserving home.

You claim it's important to have the 230 volt...then You go change it to 231.....WTF
@PursuitPerfectSystem

I didnt change it that's just a slight fluctuation every now and then the majority of the time it sits at 230

@@PursuitPerfectSystem Ohh damn, I thought You could preset the voltage You wanted....rats, then it would be pretty useless here in Bulgaria, they fluctuate more than 25 volts every day.

@@KennethRosenstroem not with this it doesnt it generates new power so it stays constant for 99% of the time with a tiny fluctuation. Its also very low noise power see my review of it kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5a1hpimZcyHjtk

Wow, my comment was deleted! Funny. Guess it didn't sit well with your ego as I questioned how you get your equipment to review. Not surprising as the tag on this video is 'look in appreciation and admiration'. Clearly a fake, way above his station. Check out instead properly qualified guy's channels who have actually done major recording stuff with major artists. I'm thinking Steve Hoffman for a start.

I dont delete many comments, only on occasion and always for good reason. Sometimes YT blocks them itself and as I get so many I cant check them all. FWIW I am not and dont claim to be a recording engineer, but considering I am not I dont think I do a bad job with these videos.

@@PursuitPerfectSystem Your videos are great enjoyable and interesting. The thing is though, if you get all your stuff loaned by companies then reviews don't mean as much as no-one wants to upset their suppliers, so it's not objective. There are always negatives with even the best gear, but I don't hear it.
@PursuitPerfectSystem
@PursuitPerfectSystem 2 жыл бұрын
@@proper90s43 that is the only way to do it, if you bought the kit you would have owners bias. If you buy only cheap stuff off amazon all you know is cheap stuff on amazon. 99.9% of reviews are with loaned gear that is what allows you to look at as much in such a short space of time. When you step up to this levelnif gear it takes a few years to start to build enough experience to know where the flaws are.
