I didn’t want to spend 2500 on an sig spear lt so I got a brn-180, a fraction of the price with almost all of the same capabilities. Just can’t switch barrels and calibers as easily as the sig.

M&P 9mm with a 23-round magazine, Streamlight TLR-1, and a CGS MOD9, imo. I also own a MCX Spear in 5.56 and an AR-15 SBR in .300blk, but I prefer a pistol next to my bed. For one, the longest straight-line distance in my home is ~20 feet and the inside walls all have bedrooms on the other side. If we aren't in one of the handful of positions where we're 20 feet away from each other, then they are most likely within a reasonable distance to grab me, and I'd rather not have something large like a rifle in that situation.

I'm actually just starting to get into owning firearms. Will be getting my first pistol here soon. Kaya I'm in the same situation as you I live in a 1 bedroom apartment. I'd love to see you and Aaron do a video talking about how many guns you feel are needed for home defense. I've been told that having multiple, usually guns placed in areas in the home that you most frequent (in a safe manner of course) is best so that you have rapid access regardless of location. So I'd love to hear your prevailing thoughts on that.

I'm going to give crazy props for the 510. I'm of the current mindset that a full-size 10mm is one of the most superior options just for CQB Home Defense for 1. Maneuverability 2.Power down range 3. Damage on Target 4.Capacity reasons alone. With the right optic & ammo you can transition from indoors to outdoors and maintain dominance unlike 9MM . Even if the baddie is wearing body armor... the 10MM is breaking bones/taking them out of the fight. So for me it's 1.10MM Full Size 2. SBR/PCC 300BLK

I’m happy using my 16” AR-15 for home defense. Room clearing is not my objective, and 16” is still maneuverable indoors. I use Hornady BTHP 5.56 rounds.

I successfully used an air rifle for home defence. I was 16, (61 now) and home alone. My dog woke me up (very soft barking) and I heard footsteps around the house. Our house was on the edge of a forest 50 meters from the road. Then I heard them at the door. I opened the door and 2 man stood there. I pointed my BSA Meteor super air riffle at them (just got it for my birthday from my uncle and still have it) . My dog was growling and showing his teeth, next to me. The men turned around and ran back to the road, jumped in a car and drove off. Firearms over here are very hard to get. I'm target shooting .22 at 12m since a few months, in about 18 months I'm allowed to buy a .22 for my self. I can not wait because I'm a left shooter and all our club target riffles are righthanded. That holds not very handy. That is if I can find one because left handed bolt action rifflels are very rare over here (Netherlands)

I just found out the hard way that in New York, every single gun in this video would require a pistol permit. Recently they changed laws so that you can only buy a single shot styled gun. Anything semi automatic requires a pistol permit. My apartment build just got robbed by 3 masked men in all black at 130am. I went to go buy home protection, just to find out that I'm limited to shotguns or bolt action for home defense. I live in an apartment so over penetration is a big concern. Gotta love how criminals have more rights that hard working, law abiding people

My apartment was made very cheaply, my neighbor had some kind of arrow shooting air gun (harpoon) that went through his wall my wall and the front room window. So everything would go through. I use pump shotgun with shortie shells, less chance of over pentatracion.

Nice list but the 5.56 I use very light varmint rounds inside my house. 40-50gr. polymer tipped or Frangible rounds. 5.56/.223 not my first choice. First choice is my G45 w/ 24 round mag and Streamlight TLR-1 HL loaded with Underwood 147gr. +P+ followed by 124gr. +P HST. Second choice is my CZ Scorpion EVO 1 S3 with 35 round mag loaded with 124gr. +P Speer Gold Dot. Thanks brothers, great video.
