Just got one and been out twice with it . Really like it with the A-scope setting on the traditional screen for ice fishing. Can really see what the fish are up to better versus just the flasher mode.

I have been using Striker 4cv with the traditional transducer, and it hooked up on a transducer arm mounted off of a skinny milk crate with my battery in an insulated bag strapped to the bottom. Its a home made deal, bit I think it works better than my buddy's Marcum M1.
