Funny to hear you talk about the steaks in new york. Wife and i went many years ago (21 years) as a change from always going to france. We had a steak in Times Square. It was appalling. Truly a culinary disaster. I mean the UK can be terrible, had a 3/10 steak in Miller and Carter last weekend but this was off the charts bad. Gristly, tough, dry, grey but large as if that mattered. Compared to france it was simply hilarious. Just made me chuckle to hear you say it.😂

Toldya , you don't go to New York for good food unless you avoid the tourist traps and find where locals go. You go to New Orleans or Texas, except probably Austin ,Dallas or San Antonio.Go to Fort Worth and other less touristy cities. You can go to Pennsylvania but again, eat where the locals do. Most of the South is also a good bet but maybe not Atlanta, seen an American foodie get ripped off there.

Been eating in Patrick’s for years, how ever I went 3 months ago & had a bad case of the shits, as did my mate who eat with me. Switched over to long horn steak house, only a few doors down in the arcade, prices much better, & steak better quality imo
