I think the fact that it was made by 2 ppl makes it even more impressive. And omg i love the songs so much. They are soooo good

I think one of my favorite things about Cassette Beasts is that it feels kinda like if pokemon grew up. The story isn't trying to be dark by any stretch, but there are lots of characters dealing with normal adult problems that kids might not necessarily empathize with and the gameplay encourages and rewards strategy and adaptation a lot more than I've felt from a mainline pokemon game in a long time.

I absolutely adored this game. The update brought me back in and it's so cozy. Even the first time I had played through it, it brought up for nostalgia for things I had never experienced. Soon after my first play through I bought an old Walkman and a few tapes, including the games sound track of course.
