Hi, I'm still using a Hero 4 camera, planning to get this osmo action, only bummer for osmo action is that they still not copying the superwide view from GoPro, anyway.. my question is.. can you use the mic inside your helmet and also charge the camera as well.. my idea is to not buy spare batteries unlike what I'm doing on my Hero4 setup.. I have 1 dozen batteries since I can't charge the camera while using an external mic. cheers!
@MOTOUK14 жыл бұрын
So yes the field of view is super wide when you use stabilisation but if no stabilisation then it’s good. The mic adapter has a power feed to so you can run a lav mic inside helmet and power lead to the underside of the mic adapter. I have a spare battery so don’t use the power in cable on my set up.

Hi, Can I ask you (and anyone who wants to answer btw) a question. I have doubts between the purchase of a DJI osmo action and the go pro 7 black. the cam should only serve me to film on motorcycle trips and motorcycle holidays. Of course I also want to be able to record things while driving. I see that you are using an adapter and a drift external camera on the osmo. I had just visited the shop in Belgium (www.kamera-express.be/) and they told me that no external camera can be connected to the osmo, but I still see you using it. Is the wider field of view of the go pro 7 really such a big difference from the osmo, and is it something you say wow it's amazing, or not?What do you think is the better choice for me, assuming that I only use the cam on my motorcycle, go pro 7 or osmo action. Thank you in advance for your answer.
@MOTOUK14 жыл бұрын
Hi Thanks for asking questions and happy to answer. So i went away from gopros some years back as i had issues with sometimes footage would be corrupt and unusable, maybe the new cameras are better. Also with the GoPro 7 you have the mic adapter like a brick where the OSMO Cynova adapter is smaller better in my opinion and is either available at amazon here: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08J7J98BZ/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_Alz.FbG9EDCZK or on the DJI website. It’s called Cynova mic adapter built only for OSMO action and the only DJI certified adapter that works with a 3.5mm mic. As for FOV yes the GoPro is slightly larger but I don’t have any issues with the OSMO action FOV to be honest and the rocksteady stabilisation is one of the best I’ve had on any camera. Hope that answers some of your questions, i am slightly biased towards DJI but both cameras are good.
@@MOTOUK1 hello again, which setting 4k 60fps, 4k 30fps or maybe another setting is best for filming from the motorbike? And how many hours of filming is possible with that setting on a 128GB SD card? if covid allows it, I will go on a 12a14 day motorcycle holiday this summer. I would like to film quite a lot, but I don't have a laptop with me to save what I have filmed and make space on the sd card. Unfortunately I have no experience with this yet, so I am looking for the best possible solution. thanks again for your answer.
@MOTOUK14 жыл бұрын
So on a moving bike best to film at 4k 60fps as I find clearer than 30fps. I only record what I want to capture never just leave it rolling as then becomes a nightmare to edit.on a 128gb card at this about 170 minutes. Now if your ok with 2k recording then the files will be smaller and easier to edit time wise. I only record 4k as some folk watch on 4k tv these days and monitors. I use a 256gb iPad Pro to edit so it goes with me on tours. I can also plug a San disk external hard drive into it and expand up to 2TB so using a card reader can transfer footage directly to the external hard drive through my iPad. When I tour I could use a 128gb card a day so if only cards 1 card a day. Or there are some hard drives that you can just insert SD card and transfer over to the hard drive, they tend to be expensive though. Hope that helps 👍
