well im strangling for a month now to fix obs lag and when i saw your video i said to myself "this is it" But.....no...i have the exactly same fps drops, i have descent pc with 32 GB 3400 MHz Corsair LPX Ram, I7 7700K Cpu and RTX 2080, so please if you have any other tip to fix my recordings i will appreciate that, i have also 2,5 k monitor at 144 Hz but i use OBS to downscale my canvas so i don't think is this the problem, thnx for reading....

Yes, if that is an issue then changing Lossless to CBR 16,000 Kb/s will fix that while keeping good quality.

I started with this software a few days ago so i'm professional at it but I do know some things that i think might be able to help. When recording it was also very laggy for me as well, but the software starts to get laggy after a lot of time spent recording straight. So recording it in small clips and later putting it together in your editing software works. And it doesn't bug out as much either for me. It does take a lot more work in the editing process but it's worth it!

modern warfare is more graphic intensive so it'll cause your OBS to lag. Capping your FPS to your monitor's refresh rate should fix it

that’s likely because you’re using QuickSync. set it to QPI 15, it’s the same as CQP.
