I got mine 2 weeks ago & both the side brush & the brush extend work on carpet, but what ive noticed is he will clean the room first & then on the last clean, that's when they start working.

@@giorgiabuladze8286 if the water tank is filled, and it’s set to mop, it will mop with water. There’s a cleaning solution compartment next to the bag inside the dock (it pulls out), and that can be filled with cleaning solution. If that’s filled, it will automatically mix the solution with the water every time it’s set to mop. I hope this helps!

Is that laminate? I asked because we have laminate floors and my wife thinks it's too much water. I disagree. It drys up in a few minutes. Amazing video

I have laminate, and admittedly it’s already damaged/warped from years ago. Definitely safe to use on laminate, and the mopping has 32 different settings for how much water you want to have it put down.

I just got mine! He is great but the only problem is that he is not taking a break to wash the mop in the middle of a cleaning session, is it normal? Can i make him do that via the app?

@@nitzanshechter8488 yeah you can make the X40 clean the mop pads more often in the app settings. Hope you’re happy with yours! Great robot.

I hate how it doesn’t clean near walls on carpeted rooms and doesn’t use the brush on carpet either. My biggest pet peeves about my robot

I’m quite sure it’s because the carpets have more resistance rather than hardwood floors and it’ll cause the side brush to wear out more faster. But it’ll be cool if Dreame did the same thing that the Dyson visnav 360 had, the extendable side duct where’s it’s a mini vacuum hose to get along the wall.

I imagine it would do well with longer hair, just check and clean the brush and brush ends occasionally.

I highly recommend the tri-cut brush, which is a separate $50 purchase, but well worth it, as it has built-in blades that cut long hair. I used to dread cutting the long hair off the roller every time I ran my old robot. I sure don't miss that.
