We first went to Dornafield in 1989 before the top of the site was developed. Simons father was nicknamed by the family as the “ oberleutenant “. Brilliant site, lovely family.

Great video Ads & Zoe! With picture perfect weather enjoyed it. As an eight-year-old child I rode the Santa Fe train from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Indianapolis, Indiana, the train had a dining car and a double decker viewing car, so much fun! My father was working a construction job at a university in Indiana, so Mom, my sister and myself rode to train to meet Dad, what a fun trip!

Great video. I joint the army at 15, in 1961, at Denbury Camp a mile or so from Dornifield, My regiment started the 10 Tors expedition which started from Hay Tor in the early days and I as a fanfair trumpeter had to climb to the top of the tor to start the race off. For many years now, we take our holiday at a little 5 van cl in the lane down to Dornifield and yes The Two Mile oak is a great pub. Thanks for the videos. Mike.

Brings back memories in Dartmouth. In the early seventies i watched the tv series The Onedin line being filmed there. Beautiful Town

We've done the round robin before, & indeed Haytor granite tramway as well absolutely lovely area looking forward to where you end up . I/we have spent many happy holidays in Dawlish, which I highly recommend.
